Job Details

Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) invites online applications for School Teachers under the Education Department through TRE-4.0, Advertisement No. 14/2026. Exam Pattern

1. Preliminary Examination:
Objective/MCQ, general studies subject; negative marking of 1/3 per wrong answer; five options (A–E). As stated, multiple-marked or unanswered questions attract 1/3 negative marking.
2. Main Examination – Primary (Class 1–5):
Single paper of 150 questions, duration 02:30 hours, total 150 marks. Two parts: Part‑I Language (English + one of Hindi/Urdu/Bangla; at least 30% marks required) and Part‑II General Studies (Mathematics ability, mental ability, general awareness, science, Indian national movement, geography and environment).
3. Main Examination – Middle (Class 6–8):
One paper of 150 questions, 02:30 hours, 150 marks; three parts — Part‑I Language (qualifying), Part‑II General Studies, Part‑III Subject paper chosen by candidate (e.g., Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, English, Science, Social Science, Mathematics etc.).
4. Main Examination – Secondary (Class 9–10) incl. Special Teachers:
One paper of 150 questions, 02:30 hours, 150 marks; three parts — Part‑I Language (qualifying), Part‑II General Studies, Part‑III Subject paper (Hindi/English/Sanskrit/Urdu/Maths/Science/Social Science/Arabic/Persian/Bangla/Physical Education etc.).
5. Main Examination – Higher Secondary (Class 11–12):
One paper of 150 questions, 02:30 hours, 150 marks; three parts — Part‑I Language (qualifying), Part‑II General Studies, Part‑III Subject paper from concerned senior secondary subjects (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Math, Biology groups, Economics, Commerce, History, Geography, Political Science, Computer Science etc.).
6. Negative marking:
1/3 mark deduction for each wrong answer; the notice also specifies 1/3 deduction for unanswered/multiple responses.

Disability certificate as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act/Rules (with benchmark disability), issued by the competent medical authority; scribe provisions as per notice.
6. Other claims:
Documents for ex‑serviceman, freedom fighter dependents, domicile, experience (if applicable), and any reservation/age‑relaxation claims as listed.
7. Exam records:
Printed copy of online application and fee receipt; e‑Admit Card for examination.
8. Self‑declaration (STET‑2026):
As per this annexure, candidates included in STET, 2026 shall fill the self‑declaration form stating the STET‑2026 application number and attach its photocopy, with name in Hindi and English (capital letters) and signature.
