- Pay application fee online; keep acknowledgement/printout after final submission.
Exam Pattern
- 1. Preliminary Examination:
- One paper; 100 objective questions; 200 marks; duration 2 hours; minimum 30% required to qualify; used for shortlisting up to 20 times the vacancies; OMR based; normalization may be applied (Equi‑Percentile Method) in multi‑shift exams.
- 2. Main Examination – Paper I (General Hindi):
- 100 questions; 200 marks; duration 2 hours; minimum 30% qualifying; marks not counted for merit.
- 3. Main Examination – Paper II:
- General Studies, General Science, Civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics and Mental Ability; 100 questions; 200 marks; duration 2 hours; negative marking of 0.2 marks per wrong answer; OMR based; normalization may be applied.
- 4. Physical Efficiency Test (qualifying):
- Men: 1 mile (1.6 km) in 6 min 30 sec; high jump ≥ 4 ft; long jump ≥ 12 ft; shot put (16 lb) ≥ 16 ft. Women: 1 km in 6 min; high jump ≥ 3 ft; long jump ≥ 9 ft; shot put (12 lb) ≥ 10 ft; three attempts allowed in jumping/shot put; candidates must qualify all events.
