The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2026. This notification provides comprehensive details about the application process, eligibility criteria, examination schedule, and selection procedure for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants in various CAPFs.

1. Application Period:

The application window for the CAPF (ACs) Exam 2026 is open from February 20, 2026, to March 12, 2026. Candidates are advised to apply early to secure their preferred exam center.

2. Examination Date:

The written examination for the recruitment of Assistant Commandants will be held on July 19, 2026.

3. Total Number of Vacancies:

A total of 349 vacancies are available across various CAPFs, including BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, and CISF.

4. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and be between 20 and 25 years of age as of August 1, 2026. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories.

5. Application Fee:

An application fee of ₹200 is applicable for General and OBC candidates. Female, SC, and ST candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
