The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) has released an official notification inviting applications for the position of Chairman, Recruitment and Assessment Board (RAB). This prestigious role involves leading the evaluation and recruitment processes for Group IV scientists and senior technical positions across CSIR laboratories nationwide.

1. Position and Pay Scale:

The position is for Chairman, CSIR Recruitment and Assessment Board (RAB) with a pay matrix level-16 (₹2,05,400 - ₹2,24,400) as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, along with applicable allowances.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must be Indian citizens, not exceeding 67 years of age, with a Ph.D. and 15 years of experience in R&D management, policy development, and leading multidisciplinary teams in R&D institutions or academic laboratories.

3. Application Deadline:

The last date to submit applications is June 15, 2026. Applications can be sent via email to drc.hqrs@csir.res.in or by post to the Director Recruitment Cell, CSIR, New Delhi.

4. Contract Duration:

The appointment is on a contract basis for three years or until the age of 70, whichever is earlier, with a possible extension under exceptional circumstances.
