Cut Off Marks

How to Apply
- 1. URN & CAF:
- Create/lock Universal Registration Number (URN), complete Common Application Form (CAF), then fill the Examination Specific Module.
- 2. Live photo capture:
- Upload photograph and capture live photograph while filling the CAF as per instructions on the portal.
- 3. Signature upload:
- Upload signatures (three times on plain white paper with black ink) as per portal instructions.
- 4. Photo ID:
- Provide details of one valid Photo ID (Aadhaar/EPIC/PAN/Passport/Driving License/other Govt ID) in the URN profile and carry it to exam/SSB.
- 5. No withdrawal/corrections:
- Application cannot be withdrawn and no correction/alteration/modification is allowed after submission.
Exam Pattern
- 1. Written exam (IMA/INA/AFA):
- Objective type; three papers — English (100 marks, 2 hours), General Knowledge (100 marks, 2 hours), Elementary Mathematics (100 marks, 2 hours).

- Objective type; two papers — English (100 marks, 2 hours) and General Knowledge (100 marks, 2 hours).

- There will be penalty (0.33) for each wrong answer in objective papers.

- GK and Elementary Mathematics set bilingually (Hindi and English). Calculators not permitted.

Selection Process
- 1. Shortlisting for SSB:
- UPSC will prepare a list of candidates qualifying the written exam; they will be detailed for SSB by respective Service HQ based on preference.
- 2. SSB methodology:
- Two-stage procedure — Stage I: OIR tests and PP&DT; Stage II: Interview, Group Testing Officer tasks, Psychology tests and Conference (over 4 days).
- 3. Merit:
- Final merit is based on total marks in written examination and SSB tests, subject to medical fitness and availability of vacancies.

- e-Admit Card will be issued on the last working day of the preceding week of the date of examination on https://upsconline.nic.in.

Cut Off Marks

How to Apply
- 1. URN & CAF:
- Create/lock Universal Registration Number (URN), complete Common Application Form (CAF), then fill the Examination Specific Module.
- 2. Live photo capture:
- Upload photograph and capture live photograph while filling the CAF as per instructions on the portal.
- 3. Signature upload:
- Upload signatures (three times on plain white paper with black ink) as per portal instructions.
- 4. Photo ID:
- Provide details of one valid Photo ID (Aadhaar/EPIC/PAN/Passport/Driving License/other Govt ID) in the URN profile and carry it to exam/SSB.
- 5. No withdrawal/corrections:
- Application cannot be withdrawn and no correction/alteration/modification is allowed after submission.
Exam Pattern
- 1. Written exam (IMA/INA/AFA):
- Objective type; three papers — English (100 marks, 2 hours), General Knowledge (100 marks, 2 hours), Elementary Mathematics (100 marks, 2 hours).
- 2. Written exam (OTA):
- Objective type; two papers — English (100 marks, 2 hours) and General Knowledge (100 marks, 2 hours).
- 3. Negative marking:
- There will be penalty (0.33) for each wrong answer in objective papers.

Selection Process
- 1. Shortlisting for SSB:
- UPSC will prepare a list of candidates qualifying the written exam; they will be detailed for SSB by respective Service HQ based on preference.
- 2. SSB methodology:
- Two-stage procedure — Stage I: OIR tests and PP&DT; Stage II: Interview, Group Testing Officer tasks, Psychology tests and Conference (over 4 days).
- 3. Merit:
- Final merit is based on total marks in written examination and SSB tests, subject to medical fitness and availability of vacancies.
Admit Card Details
- 1. Issue schedule:
- e-Admit Card will be issued on the last working day of the preceding week of the date of examination on https://upsconline.nic.in.
- 2. Mode:
- No Admit Card will be sent by post or email; candidates must download and print it.
Reservation Details
- 1. NCC reservation:
- Reserved vacancies: IMA 13 (Army Wing), INA 06 (Naval Wing) and 01 Hydro, AFA 03 (Air Wing through NCC Special Entry).
- 2. Note on SSC (NT):
- SSC (NT) Men and SSC (NT) Women are separate entries with separate results/merit lists.
