Consultant Engagement in DRDO NPOL 2025

The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has announced the engagement of retired government officials as consultants on a contract basis at the Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL) in Kochi. The notification details eligibility criteria, application process, and terms of engagement.

1. Application Period:

Applications are open from September 8, 2025, and must be submitted within 21 days from the date of advertisement.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

Retired officials from Central/State Government, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies with experience in relevant fields are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to those with DRDO experience.

3. Consultant Role:

The role involves utilizing domain knowledge for sonar development and realization, with tasks including detailed system design and project coordination.

4. Remuneration:

For pensioners, remuneration is calculated by deducting the basic pension from the last drawn pay. Non-pensioners receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 90,000 with a conveyance allowance of Rs. 5,000.

5. Age Limit:

The maximum age limit for applicants is 63 years as of the closing date of the application.
