The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced the recruitment of a Consultant (Legal) in the Disaster Management Division. The position is on a time-based retainer-ship basis, requiring a Bachelor's degree in Law and relevant experience. The application process is open for two weeks from January 6, 2026.

1. Position Details:

The Disaster Management Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs is inviting applications for the position of Consultant (Legal) on a time-based retainer-ship basis.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized university and should not exceed 45 years of age. Preference will be given to graduates from National Law Universities or Central Universities with experience in Disaster Management.

3. Experience Requirements:

Candidates should have at least one year of experience in Government Offices dealing with Writ Petitions/Public Interest Litigations and other court cases.

4. Application Deadline:

Applications must be submitted within two weeks from the date of the notification, i.e., by January 20, 2026.

5. Remuneration:

The Consultant (Legal) will receive a consolidated fee of Rs. 40,000 per month. No other emoluments or reimbursements will be provided.
