Job Details
Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) invites applications from Ex-Indian Navy personnel for engagement as Guarantee Engineer on contract basis for the Ship Repair Facility in Karwar. Essential qualifications: Pass in X Standard and Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent in Indian Navy. Essential experience: Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in operation, maintenance and watchkeeping of marine equipment and systems on Indian Naval Surface Ships/Submarines. Desirable: Knowledge of propulsion systems, marine main engines, gearboxes, auxiliary machinery (HVAC, refrigeration, STP, Oily Water Separator), PGD systems, weapon equipment, sensors, deck machinery, and proficiency in computer-based data management. Contract period is three years, extendable by two years based on organizational requirements and performance. Initial appointment is at CSL, Kochi; posting will be at the Ship Repair Facility in Karwar/other CSL units or project sites. Selection is through Personal Interview (100 marks) after certificate verification and shortlisting based on eligibility.
