Job Details
The Department of Consumer Affairs invites applications for one post of Director, General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non‑Ministerial in National Test House (WR), Mumbai, by deputation (including short‑term contract) in Pay Matrix Level‑13 (Rs. 1,23,100–2,15,900). Eligible officers must hold an analogous post or have five years’ regular service in Level‑12 (or equivalent) and possess: (i) Master’s Degree in Chemistry (Pure/Applied) or Physics (Pure/Applied) OR Degree in Engineering/Metallurgy/Textile/Rubber Technology; and (ii) twelve years’ managerial experience in testing and evaluation of materials with knowledge of their behaviour in a laboratory or institution of standing specialising in Material Science. Desirable: Doctorate in Chemistry/Physics or PG Degree in Engineering/Metallurgy/Technology; administrative experience (preferably in a laboratory); and research experience in industrial materials and testing methodology. Period of deputation (including STC) shall ordinarily not exceed four years. Maximum age for deputation: 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
