The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has announced the recruitment for the post of Director (Engineering) on a deputation basis. The position is in Level 12 as per the 7th CPC, with a pre-revised pay scale of PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay Rs. 7600. The deputation period is four years, and applications are invited from eligible officers.

1. Position Details:

The post of Director (Engineering) is available in the Development wing of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. It is a Group 'A' Gazetted (Non-Ministerial) position.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must hold a degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering and have ten years of experience in relevant fields. Officers from Central/State Government, Major Ports, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies, or Universities are eligible.

3. Application Process:

Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format through proper channels within 60 days from the date of publication in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar.

4. Deputation Period:

The deputation period is four years, including short-term contracts, and should not exceed four years in total.

5. Age Limit:

The maximum age limit for applicants is 56 years as of the closing date of application receipt.
