Job Details

HEMRL, a DRDO laboratory at Pune, invites Indian nationals for one-year Graduate Apprentice training for 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprentice Rules 1992. How to Apply

1. Registration:
Degree candidates must register on NATS 2.0 portal.
2. Application mode:
ONLY offline applications will be accepted.
3. Application form:
Fill the application form available on https://drdo.gov.in/drdo/en/offerings/vacancies and send it by post.
4. Address for submission:
The Director, HEMRL, Ministry of Defence, DRDO, Sutarwadi, Pashan, Pune – 411021 (Kind Attention: HRD, HEMRL, Pune).
5. Marks format:
Mention marks in percentage; convert CGPA to percentage as per university norms (may be verified during document verification).
6. Timeliness:
Incomplete/erroneous applications or those received after the last date will be rejected.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting method:
Selection may be based on academic merit and/or written test/interview/walk‑in interview or a combination thereof, subject to satisfactory document verification.
2. Institutional discretion:
HEMRL reserves the right to adopt its own short‑listing criteria and is not obliged to shortlist all candidates meeting minimum requirements.

Reservation Details

1. Reservation policy:
Reservations will be applied as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprentice Rules 1992 as amended.
2. Category allocation:
Seat allocation across General/SC/ST/OBC will be as per prevalent rules.

Document Requirements

1. At document verification:
Ink-signed printout of application; NATS 2.0 profile signed copy; mark sheets & certificates from 10th to minimum qualification; Aadhaar/Photo ID and address proof; two recent passport size photos; applicable SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD/EWS certificates.
2. At joining:
Valid police verification certificate for present and permanent address; medical Certificate of Physical Fitness by authorized Government Hospital doctor; undertakings for Official Secrets Act, 1923 and adherence to IT Rules & MoD/DRDO regulations; Aadhaar-seeded bank account details (passbook front page/cancelled cheque); three recent passport size photos; any other documents if required.

Important Instructions

1. Contract and duration:
Selected candidates must execute a contract for ONE YEAR of training; training period counts from the date of execution of the contract.
2. Communication:
Selected candidates will be informed through email with joining instructions; no correspondence with non-selected candidates will be entertained.
3. No employment claim:
No employment (permanent/temporary/contractual) at HEMRL or DRDO after completion of apprenticeship; no claim shall be entertained.
4. No TA/DA or facilities:
No TA/DA, accommodation, transport or medical facilities for any stage of selection or during training.
5. Canvassing:
Canvassing/influencing in any form will lead to disqualification.
6. Right to modify/cancel:
Director, HEMRL may increase/decrease vacancies or withdraw the advertisement/cancel selection without assigning reasons.

Training Details

1. Training period:
One year apprenticeship commencing from the date of execution of the contract.

Bond or Service Agreement

1. Agreement:
Apprenticeship contract to be executed as per the Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprentice Rules 1992.

Disqualification Criteria

1. Late/non-reporting:
If a selected candidate does not report by the scheduled date, it will be assumed the candidate is not interested and the candidature may be forfeited.
2. Eligibility/documents:
If eligibility conditions are not met or documents/statements are false/forged, candidature will be cancelled/disqualified.
