Engagement of Independent Consultants in Ministry of Textiles 2025

The Ministry of Textiles has released new guidelines for the engagement of Young Professionals, Consultant Grade 1, and Consultant Grade 2 as Independent Consultants. These guidelines supersede previous ones and outline the qualifications, experience, remuneration, and selection process for these roles.

1. Engagement Levels:

The Ministry of Textiles will engage individuals at three levels: Young Professionals, Consultant Grade 1, and Consultant Grade 2, collectively known as Independent Consultants.

2. Contractual Basis:

Engagements are purely on a contractual basis, initially for two years, extendable up to three additional years based on performance.

3. Educational Qualification:

Applicants must possess a Master's Degree from a recognized university in a discipline relevant to the job description.

4. Remuneration Range:

Remuneration for Consultant Grade 1 ranges from ₹80,000 to ₹1,45,000, and for Consultant Grade 2 from ₹1,45,000 to ₹2,65,000. Young Professionals will have a fixed salary of ₹70,000.

5. Selection Process:

Selection will be conducted through a Screening and Selection Committee constituted with the approval of the Secretary, Textiles.
