Job Details
Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited (Hooghly CSL), Howrah - a wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited - is recruiting three Project Officers on contract basis under Vacancy Notification No. HCSL/HR/RECTT/CONT/2026-27/3 dated 10.07.2026: two unreserved posts of Project Officer (Mechanical) and one OBC post of Project Officer (Electronics). Both require an engineering degree in the relevant discipline with 60% marks from a recognised university and a minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in a shipbuilding, ship repair, marine related, port, engineering, government or semi-government organisation, with proficiency in working in a computerised environment desirable. Selection is by an objective type offline test of 50 marks over 60 minutes comprising 50 multiple choice questions in general knowledge (10 marks) and subject-based topics (40 marks), followed for shortlisted candidates by a PowerPoint presentation assessing work experience (30 marks) and a personal interview (20 marks) held at Hooghly CSL, Howrah. - Candidates scoring the prescribed pass mark are shortlisted for the presentation and interview subject to verification of age, educational qualification, reservation and experience. Originals with self-attested copies must be produced, failing which the candidate is not shortlisted.
