The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Indian Forest Service Examination, 2024. This examination is conducted for recruitment into the prestigious Indian Forest Service, a part of the All India Services. The notification outlines the eligibility criteria, application process, examination schedule, and selection procedure.

1. Application Period:
The application window for the Indian Forest Service Examination 2024 is open from February 14, 2024, to March 5, 2024. Candidates are advised to apply early to avoid last-minute issues.
2. Preliminary Examination Date:
The Preliminary Examination, which is a part of the Civil Services Examination, will be held on May 26, 2024.
3. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the specified subjects such as Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology, or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering.
4. Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 21 and 32 years of age as of August 1, 2024. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories.
5. Application Fee:
An application fee of ₹100 is applicable for General and OBC candidates. SC/ST/PwBD and female candidates are exempted from paying the fee.

Result Announcement for Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2024

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2024. Candidates who have qualified for the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2024 are listed. The qualified candidates must apply again using the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Main Examination.
