The Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, has announced a vacancy for the post of Library and Information Assistant on a deputation basis. The position is in Level 6 of the pay matrix, and applications are invited from eligible candidates within 60 days of the advertisement.

1. Position Details:

One post of Library and Information Assistant (General Central Service, Group B, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) is available in Level 6 (Rs.35,400 — 1,12,400) in the pay matrix.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must hold analogous posts on a regular basis or have six years of regular service in posts in level 5 in the pay matrix. A Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science and two years of professional experience in a library are essential.

3. Application Process:

Applications along with Bio-data in the prescribed proforma and necessary certificates must be forwarded to Shri Santosh Kumar, Under Secretary, within 60 days of the advertisement.

4. Maximum Age Limit:

The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
