The Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai, has released an official notification for the engagement of Marine Consultant (Master Mariner) on a contractual basis. The position is open to qualified candidates with relevant experience in the Indian Navy or Coast Guard.

1. Position:

Marine Consultant (Master Mariner) on a contractual basis at DGCOMM Centre, Nav Bhavan, Mumbai.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must be a Master Mariner with a Certificate of Competency as Master (FG) or an Indian Navy/Coast Guard officer with a minimum of 15 years of service, having attained the rank of Commander or equivalent.

3. Experience Required:

Minimum 2 years sailing experience in management rank (Master/Chief Officer) and at least 1 year sailing experience as Master is desirable.

4. Age Preference:

Preference for candidates below 50 years, with possible relaxation for those with exceptional experience.

5. Salary:

Consolidated salary of Rs.22,50,000/- annually, all inclusive.
