Application Fee
- 1. All candidates except those listed below:
- Rs. 500. Of this, Rs. 400 is refunded after deduction of applicable bank charges on appearing in the CBT.
- 2. SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, female, transgender, minority and Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates:
- Rs. 250. The whole of this fee is refunded after deduction of applicable bank charges on appearing in the CBT.
- 3. Modification fee:
- Rs. 250 per occasion, non-refundable, payable by all candidates irrespective of community or category for each modification of the submitted application between 11.09.2025 and 20.09.2025.
- 4. Difference on changing category:
- A candidate modifying the community from SC or ST to UR, OBC or EWS, or switching from Ex-Servicemen, female, transgender or PwBD to UR, OBC-NCL, EWS, non Ex-Servicemen, non PwBD or male, must pay the Rs. 250 difference in examination fee in addition to the modification fee, failing which the modified application is not accepted.
Payment Methods
- 1. Mode:
- Online only, through internet banking, debit or credit cards, or UPI. There is no option to pay by any other mode and all applicable service charges are borne by the candidate.
- 2. Deadline:
- Fee for submitted applications must be paid by 10.09.2025.
- 3. Acceptance of the application:
- An online application is accepted only after confirmation of fee payment; confirmation is sent by email and SMS. Applications received without the prescribed fee are summarily rejected.
Other Information
- 1. Refund:
- Only candidates who attend the CBT receive a refund. Candidates must give the name of the bank, name of the account holder, account number and IFSC code in the application form; the responsibility for correct bank details lies on the candidate. There is no refund for wrong or incomplete beneficiary details or for erroneous, incomplete or rejected applications.
- 2. Refund on cancellation of vacancies:
- If the notified vacancies are cancelled, the examination fee is not refunded except to candidates who have attended the CBT.
- 3. Minorities:
- Minorities for the purpose of the concessional fee are Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians (Parsis), subject to any revision, deletion or inclusion received till 08.09.2025. A minority candidate claiming the fee waiver must furnish an affidavit in the format at Annexure IV on non-judicial stamp paper at Document Verification, failing which the candidature is rejected.
- 4. Economically Backward Class:
- An EBC candidate is one whose annual family income is less than Rs. 50,000. The candidate must hold, on the date of application, a valid income certificate in the format at Annexure III A issued by a District Magistrate or Revenue Officer up to the level of Tahsildar, a sitting Lok Sabha Member of Parliament for persons of their own constituency, a sitting Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament for persons of the district where the member normally resides, or a Union Minister for any person; or alternatively a BPL card or other certificate issued by the Central Government under a recognised poverty alleviation programme, or an Izzat MST issued by the Railways. A document issued after 08.09.2025 is not accepted and the original must be produced at Document Verification.

- 2. Step 1 - Create an Account:
- Create an account for this CEN using the link on the official RRB websites. Candidates who created an account for an earlier RRB CEN must use the same login credentials. A valid personal mobile number and active email ID are mandatory for the OTPs required during account creation. No detail entered in the 'Create an Account' form, including the mobile number and email ID, can be changed afterwards.
- 3. Step 2 - Identity authentication:
- Candidates are strongly advised to authenticate their identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during the 'Create an Account' stage, or through the 'Verify Aadhaar' facility while filling in the application, before final submission. Applicants who verify through alternate photo IDs are subjected to significantly stricter and more detailed scrutiny at every stage.
- 4. Step 3 - Choose the RRB and preferences:
- Choose one RRB only and indicate preferences for the Railway Zones and posts or categories notified within that RRB for which the candidate is eligible and interested. Options once exercised are final.
- 5. Step 4 - Live photograph:
- The application module captures a live photograph at the time of filling the form using a webcam or the front camera of a mobile phone. No pre-existing photograph is uploaded, and taking a picture of a printed or digital photograph leads to summary rejection.
- 6. Step 5 - Upload documents:
- Upload the scanned signature in JPG or JPEG format, and for SC and ST candidates requesting the free train travel pass, the SC or ST certificate in PDF format.

- 1. Computer Based Test:
- Conducted from 11-03-2026 to 13-03-2026 for the Paramedical posts notified against CEN No. 03/2025.
- 2. Shortlisting:
- Candidates have been provisionally shortlisted for Document Verification and medical examination on the basis of their performance in the CBT. The roll numbers are published in ascending order and not in order of merit.
- 3. Document Verification:
- Held at the place indicated in the e-call letter for DV.
- 4. Medical examination:
- Conducted at a nominated Railway Hospital in the jurisdiction of the RRB on the next day of the DV, or as instructed.
Admit Card Details

- SMS and e-mail alerts are being sent to candidates' registered mobile numbers and e-mail IDs for downloading their e-call letter from the RRB's official website.
Reservation Details
- 1. Vertical reservation:
- Provided for EWS, SC, ST and OBC-NCL wherever applicable and admissible. All candidates irrespective of community are considered against unreserved vacancies subject to fulfilling the UR eligibility conditions, but vacancies reserved for SC, ST, OBC-NCL and EWS are filled only by candidates of that community or category.
- 2. Grand total by category:

- 10. Bihar caste judgements:
- Candidates of the Lohar, Lohara or Lohra caste from or migrated from Bihar must produce a caste certificate issued after 01.04.2023 and valid on the closing date, in the format at Annexure I with back reference to Form II of the Bihar Government for ST or Annexure II with back reference to Form VII A for OBC-NCL, following the Supreme Court judgement of 21.02.2022 in WP (C) No. 1052/2021. Candidates of the Pan, Panr, Sawasi or Tanti-Tatwa castes from or migrated from Bihar holding SC or ST certificates issued before the Supreme Court judgement of 15.07.2024 in Civil Appeal No. 18802 of 2017 must upload and produce a revised caste certificate issued on or after 01.09.2024, failing which they are treated as unreserved.
Document Requirements
- 1. At Document Verification:
- All original documents together with two sets of photocopies in A4 size as detailed in the CEN, the counter foil of the CBT, and the e-call letter issued for Document Verification.
- 2. Upload before DV:
- Candidates must upload clear scanned images of all documents and a colour scanned copy of their passport size photograph and signature in the RRB Document Verification portal https://oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv, following the instructions given there. The portal is active from 10 days before the candidate's DV date until the DV date.
Important Instructions
- 1. Reporting:
- Candidates are advised to report to the Office of the Railway Recruitment Board, Mahendrughat, Patna - 800 004 as per the scheduled date and time.
- 2. Failure to report:
- Failure to report for Document Verification on the scheduled date or on the block date will amount to rejection of candidature, and no correspondence in this context will be entertained.
- 3. Duration and cost of the visit:
- After the Document Verification, candidates will be sent for medical examination at the nominated Railway Hospital in the jurisdiction of the concerned RRB on the next day. Candidates are required to come prepared to stay for more than four days for the DV and medical examination at their own cost.
- 4. Medical examination:
- After the Document Verification is completed, candidates will be sent for medical examination at the nominated Railway Hospital / Health Unit in the jurisdiction of the concerned RRB. Candidates have to pay a prescribed medical fee of Rs 24 only, and no other charge is payable to the hospital or health unit. In rare cases where an investigation such as a CT scan or ultrasound, or a test to rule out refractive eye surgery, has to be carried out and the facility is not available in the Railway Hospital or Health Unit, the candidate may have to pay the concerned laboratory or hospital.
- 5. Candidature is provisional:
- The candidature of every shortlisted candidate is purely provisional and is liable to be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment or thereafter in case of any inconsistency or deficiency in the data furnished in the online application, or any malpractice coming to the notice of the RRB. Merely calling a candidate for Document Verification does not entitle him or her in any way to an appointment in the Railways.
- 6. Right to rectify errors:
- While every care has been taken in preparing the list, the RRB reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent error or typographical / printing mistake, and regrets its inability to entertain correspondence from unsuccessful candidates.
- 7. Warning against touts:
- Beware of touts who may misguide candidates with false promises of selection on illegal consideration. The recruitment process in the RRB exams is fully computerised and selection is based purely on the merit of candidates.
Disqualification Criteria
- 1. Multiple applications:
- All applications rejected and the candidate debarred from all future RRB and RRC examinations.
- 2. Debarred or dismissed candidates:
- Candidates presently debarred by any RRB or RRC, and candidates dismissed from service by the Government of India, a State Government, a PSU or any other government organisation, are not eligible.
- 3. Photograph and signature:
- Non-compliance with the live photo instructions of Para 14.4 or the signature upload instructions of Para 14.5 leads to rejection at any stage. Blurred, illegible or non-standard photographs or signatures are liable to rejection.
- 4. Pre-existing photograph:
- An application in which a picture of a printed or digital pre-existing photograph is submitted is summarily rejected.
- 5. False information:
- If at any stage of recruitment or afterwards it is found that the candidate provided false or incorrect information, suppressed material facts or does not satisfy the eligibility criteria, the candidature or appointment is cancelled, the candidate is removed from service if appointed, and is debarred from all future RRB and RRC examinations for life.
- 6. Fraudulent reservation claim:
- Candidature or appointment is cancelled forthwith if any fraudulent claim of SC, ST, OBC or EWS status or misuse of any other benefit comes to light at any stage, and legal proceedings may follow.
- 7. Misuse of the free travel facility:
- Any misuse of the free railway travel facility leads to rejection of candidature at any stage and debarment from future examinations.
- 8. Unauthorised use of a scribe:
- A candidate who is not eligible for a scribe but uses a scribe or compensatory time is disqualified from the recruitment process and, if already appointed, may be removed from service without notice. If a scribe is found independently answering questions, the examination session is terminated and the candidature cancelled.
- 9. Electronic devices:
- A candidate found in possession of a mobile phone, Bluetooth device or any other means of wireless communication, whether working or switched off, has the candidature cancelled forthwith and is debarred from RRB examinations, besides legal action.
- 10. Absence at Document Verification:
- Candidates absent at Document Verification, or who do not produce their original certificates on the date of verification, forfeit their candidature.
- 11. Employer withholding permission:
- Where a communication is received from the employer withholding permission to the candidate to apply or appear, the application or candidature is liable to be rejected or cancelled.

- 1. All candidates except those listed below:
- Rs. 500. Of this, Rs. 400 is refunded after deduction of applicable bank charges on appearing in the CBT.
- 2. SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, female, transgender, minority and Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates:
- Rs. 250. The whole of this fee is refunded after deduction of applicable bank charges on appearing in the CBT.
- 3. Modification fee:
- Rs. 250 per occasion, non-refundable, payable by all candidates irrespective of community or category for each modification of the submitted application between 11.09.2025 and 20.09.2025.
- 4. Difference on changing category:
- A candidate modifying the community from SC or ST to UR, OBC or EWS, or switching from Ex-Servicemen, female, transgender or PwBD to UR, OBC-NCL, EWS, non Ex-Servicemen, non PwBD or male, must pay the Rs. 250 difference in examination fee in addition to the modification fee, failing which the modified application is not accepted.
Payment Methods
- 1. Mode:
- Online only, through internet banking, debit or credit cards, or UPI. There is no option to pay by any other mode and all applicable service charges are borne by the candidate.
- 2. Deadline:
- Fee for submitted applications must be paid by 10.09.2025.
- 3. Acceptance of the application:
- An online application is accepted only after confirmation of fee payment; confirmation is sent by email and SMS. Applications received without the prescribed fee are summarily rejected.
Other Information
- 1. Refund:
- Only candidates who attend the CBT receive a refund. Candidates must give the name of the bank, name of the account holder, account number and IFSC code in the application form; the responsibility for correct bank details lies on the candidate. There is no refund for wrong or incomplete beneficiary details or for erroneous, incomplete or rejected applications.
- 2. Refund on cancellation of vacancies:
- If the notified vacancies are cancelled, the examination fee is not refunded except to candidates who have attended the CBT.
- 3. Minorities:
- Minorities for the purpose of the concessional fee are Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians (Parsis), subject to any revision, deletion or inclusion received till 08.09.2025. A minority candidate claiming the fee waiver must furnish an affidavit in the format at Annexure IV on non-judicial stamp paper at Document Verification, failing which the candidature is rejected.
- 4. Economically Backward Class:
- An EBC candidate is one whose annual family income is less than Rs. 50,000. The candidate must hold, on the date of application, a valid income certificate in the format at Annexure III A issued by a District Magistrate or Revenue Officer up to the level of Tahsildar, a sitting Lok Sabha Member of Parliament for persons of their own constituency, a sitting Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament for persons of the district where the member normally resides, or a Union Minister for any person; or alternatively a BPL card or other certificate issued by the Central Government under a recognised poverty alleviation programme, or an Izzat MST issued by the Railways. A document issued after 08.09.2025 is not accepted and the original must be produced at Document Verification.

How to Apply
- 1. Mode:
- Online only, through the link provided on the official RRB websites listed in Para 16.0 of the CEN. Applications complete in all respects must be submitted by 23:59 hours on 08.09.2025.
- 2. Step 1 - Create an Account:
- Create an account for this CEN using the link on the official RRB websites. Candidates who created an account for an earlier RRB CEN must use the same login credentials. A valid personal mobile number and active email ID are mandatory for the OTPs required during account creation. No detail entered in the 'Create an Account' form, including the mobile number and email ID, can be changed afterwards.
- 3. Step 2 - Identity authentication:
- Candidates are strongly advised to authenticate their identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during the 'Create an Account' stage, or through the 'Verify Aadhaar' facility while filling in the application, before final submission. Applicants who verify through alternate photo IDs are subjected to significantly stricter and more detailed scrutiny at every stage.
- 4. Step 3 - Choose the RRB and preferences:
- Choose one RRB only and indicate preferences for the Railway Zones and posts or categories notified within that RRB for which the candidate is eligible and interested. Options once exercised are final.
- 5. Step 4 - Live photograph:
- The application module captures a live photograph at the time of filling the form using a webcam or the front camera of a mobile phone. No pre-existing photograph is uploaded, and taking a picture of a printed or digital photograph leads to summary rejection.
- 6. Step 5 - Upload documents:
- Upload the scanned signature in JPG or JPEG format, and for SC and ST candidates requesting the free train travel pass, the SC or ST certificate in PDF format.
- 7. Step 6 - Pay the fee:
- After submission, choose the mode of payment and complete the online payment. The application is accepted only after confirmation of fee payment, which is confirmed by email and SMS.
- 8. Common Service Centres:
- Candidates may use the Common Services Centres of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, managed at village panchayat level by Village Level Entrepreneurs, for online submission of the application and payment of fee through e-wallet. The list is at www.csc.gov.in and the nearest centre can be found at https://findmycsc.nic.in/csc/.
- 9. Modification after submission:
- Details other than those in the 'Create an Account' form and the chosen RRB may be modified any number of times between 11.09.2025 and 20.09.2025 on payment of a non-refundable modification fee of Rs. 250 for each occasion. No representation for modification is entertained after 20.09.2025.

Selection Process
- 1. Computer Based Test:
- Conducted from 11-03-2026 to 13-03-2026 for the Paramedical posts notified against CEN No. 03/2025.
- 2. Shortlisting:
- Candidates have been provisionally shortlisted for Document Verification and medical examination on the basis of their performance in the CBT. The roll numbers are published in ascending order and not in order of merit.
- 3. Document Verification:
- Held at the place indicated in the e-call letter for DV.
- 4. Medical examination:
- Conducted at a nominated Railway Hospital in the jurisdiction of the RRB on the next day of the DV, or as instructed.
Admit Card Details
- 1. e-call letter:
- SMS and e-mail alerts are being sent to candidates' registered mobile numbers and e-mail IDs for downloading their e-call letter from the RRB's official website.
Reservation Details
- 1. Vertical reservation:
- Provided for EWS, SC, ST and OBC-NCL wherever applicable and admissible. All candidates irrespective of community are considered against unreserved vacancies subject to fulfilling the UR eligibility conditions, but vacancies reserved for SC, ST, OBC-NCL and EWS are filled only by candidates of that community or category.
- 2. Grand total by category:
- UR 198, SC 72, ST 46, OBC 79 and EWS 39, adding to 434 net vacancies.
- 3. Horizontal reservation:
- Provided for Ex-Servicemen and PwBD irrespective of social community. The grand total includes 29 Ex-Servicemen vacancies and 23 PwBD vacancies, being 19 for Locomotor Disability and 4 for Hearing Impaired, with none for Visually Impaired or Multiple Disabilities and no backlog vacancies.
- 4. Creamy layer:
- OBC candidates in the creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation and may be considered as unreserved candidates subject to fulfilling the UR eligibility conditions. OBCs in a State list but not in the central list are not eligible to claim reservation.
- 5. Ex-Servicemen without earmarked vacancies:
- Ex-Servicemen may apply against regular vacancies of a post even where none are reserved for them, but in that case remain eligible only for age relaxation and fee exemption.
- 6. PwBD without earmarked vacancies:
- PwBD candidates may apply against regular vacancies of a post even where none are reserved for them, provided the post is suitable for their disability, but in that case remain eligible only for age relaxation and fee exemption.
- 7. Ex-Servicemen already in civil employment:
- An Ex-Serviceman who has already secured civil employment under the Central Government in Group C or erstwhile Group D after availing Ex-Servicemen benefits is permitted only the age relaxation and is not considered against vacancies reserved for Ex-Servicemen.
- 8. Crucial date for category status:
- The closing date for submission of online applications against this CEN, where not otherwise specified.
- 9. Change of community status:
- The community or category declared in the online application determines eligibility for reservation benefits; any subsequent change in community status is not recognised for this recruitment.
- 10. Bihar caste judgements:
- Candidates of the Lohar, Lohara or Lohra caste from or migrated from Bihar must produce a caste certificate issued after 01.04.2023 and valid on the closing date, in the format at Annexure I with back reference to Form II of the Bihar Government for ST or Annexure II with back reference to Form VII A for OBC-NCL, following the Supreme Court judgement of 21.02.2022 in WP (C) No. 1052/2021. Candidates of the Pan, Panr, Sawasi or Tanti-Tatwa castes from or migrated from Bihar holding SC or ST certificates issued before the Supreme Court judgement of 15.07.2024 in Civil Appeal No. 18802 of 2017 must upload and produce a revised caste certificate issued on or after 01.09.2024, failing which they are treated as unreserved.
Document Requirements
- 1. At Document Verification:
- All original documents together with two sets of photocopies in A4 size as detailed in the CEN, the counter foil of the CBT, and the e-call letter issued for Document Verification.
- 2. Upload before DV:
- Candidates must upload clear scanned images of all documents and a colour scanned copy of their passport size photograph and signature in the RRB Document Verification portal https://oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv, following the instructions given there. The portal is active from 10 days before the candidate's DV date until the DV date.
Important Instructions
- 1. Reporting:
- Candidates are advised to report to the Office of the Railway Recruitment Board, Mahendrughat, Patna - 800 004 as per the scheduled date and time.
- 2. Failure to report:
- Failure to report for Document Verification on the scheduled date or on the block date will amount to rejection of candidature, and no correspondence in this context will be entertained.
- 3. Duration and cost of the visit:
- After the Document Verification, candidates will be sent for medical examination at the nominated Railway Hospital in the jurisdiction of the concerned RRB on the next day. Candidates are required to come prepared to stay for more than four days for the DV and medical examination at their own cost.
- 4. Medical examination:
- After the Document Verification is completed, candidates will be sent for medical examination at the nominated Railway Hospital / Health Unit in the jurisdiction of the concerned RRB. Candidates have to pay a prescribed medical fee of Rs 24 only, and no other charge is payable to the hospital or health unit. In rare cases where an investigation such as a CT scan or ultrasound, or a test to rule out refractive eye surgery, has to be carried out and the facility is not available in the Railway Hospital or Health Unit, the candidate may have to pay the concerned laboratory or hospital.
- 5. Candidature is provisional:
- The candidature of every shortlisted candidate is purely provisional and is liable to be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment or thereafter in case of any inconsistency or deficiency in the data furnished in the online application, or any malpractice coming to the notice of the RRB. Merely calling a candidate for Document Verification does not entitle him or her in any way to an appointment in the Railways.
- 6. Right to rectify errors:
- While every care has been taken in preparing the list, the RRB reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent error or typographical / printing mistake, and regrets its inability to entertain correspondence from unsuccessful candidates.
- 7. Warning against touts:
- Beware of touts who may misguide candidates with false promises of selection on illegal consideration. The recruitment process in the RRB exams is fully computerised and selection is based purely on the merit of candidates.
Disqualification Criteria
- 1. Multiple applications:
- All applications rejected and the candidate debarred from all future RRB and RRC examinations.
- 2. Debarred or dismissed candidates:
- Candidates presently debarred by any RRB or RRC, and candidates dismissed from service by the Government of India, a State Government, a PSU or any other government organisation, are not eligible.
- 3. Photograph and signature:
- Non-compliance with the live photo instructions of Para 14.4 or the signature upload instructions of Para 14.5 leads to rejection at any stage. Blurred, illegible or non-standard photographs or signatures are liable to rejection.
- 4. Pre-existing photograph:
- An application in which a picture of a printed or digital pre-existing photograph is submitted is summarily rejected.
- 5. False information:
- If at any stage of recruitment or afterwards it is found that the candidate provided false or incorrect information, suppressed material facts or does not satisfy the eligibility criteria, the candidature or appointment is cancelled, the candidate is removed from service if appointed, and is debarred from all future RRB and RRC examinations for life.
- 6. Fraudulent reservation claim:
- Candidature or appointment is cancelled forthwith if any fraudulent claim of SC, ST, OBC or EWS status or misuse of any other benefit comes to light at any stage, and legal proceedings may follow.
- 7. Misuse of the free travel facility:
- Any misuse of the free railway travel facility leads to rejection of candidature at any stage and debarment from future examinations.
- 8. Unauthorised use of a scribe:
- A candidate who is not eligible for a scribe but uses a scribe or compensatory time is disqualified from the recruitment process and, if already appointed, may be removed from service without notice. If a scribe is found independently answering questions, the examination session is terminated and the candidature cancelled.
- 9. Electronic devices:
- A candidate found in possession of a mobile phone, Bluetooth device or any other means of wireless communication, whether working or switched off, has the candidature cancelled forthwith and is debarred from RRB examinations, besides legal action.
- 10. Absence at Document Verification:
- Candidates absent at Document Verification, or who do not produce their original certificates on the date of verification, forfeit their candidature.
- 11. Employer withholding permission:
- Where a communication is received from the employer withholding permission to the candidate to apply or appear, the application or candidature is liable to be rejected or cancelled.

- 1. Document type:
- Schedule of Document Verification, genuineness of candidature and medical examination.
- 2. Not a final selection list:
- The notice schedules a further round and is not a final selection list. Merely shortlisting or calling a candidate for Document Verification or medical examination does not entitle him or her to an appointment in the Railways.
- 3. Total called:
- 25 candidates: 12 on 06.07.2026 and 13 on 07.07.2026.
- 4. Notice date:
- 13.06.2026, read from the line 'Date: 13.06.2026 ... Chairman / RRB / Patna' at the foot of page 2. The 29.05.2026 in paragraph 1.0 is the date of the earlier shortlist notice and has not been used.
- 5. Candidate identifiers deliberately omitted:
- The notice publishes the roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates. Individual roll numbers have deliberately not been extracted; only the counts the notice states have been recorded. No candidate names, parentage or dates of birth appear in the notice.
- 6. Placeholder rows left as printed:
- The roll-number lists carry rows printed as 'XXXXXXXXXXX' - three after the 06.07.2026 list, four after the 07.07.2026 Nursing Superintendent list and three after the Pharmacist list. They have been left as printed and not counted; the stated headcounts of 12 and 13 have been used.
- 7. Cut-off marks:
- The notice publishes no cut-off marks.
- 8. Omitted blocks:
- This is a downstream notice: it states no pay, application fee or eligibility criteria, and none have been recorded from it. The only fee mentioned is the Rs 24 medical examination fee.
- 9. Relationship to the earlier notice:
- This is the DV schedule that follows the shortlist published on 29.05.2026; the two notices are sequential, not two editions of the same document.
