State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961. The notification details the eligibility criteria, application process, training seats, and selection process for the apprenticeship program.

1. Application Period:

The online registration for SBI Apprenticeship 2026 is open from May 19, 2026, to June 8, 2026. Candidates must complete the application process within this period.

2. Training Seats:

A total of 7,150 training seats are available across various states and union territories in India. The distribution of seats is based on state and category.

3. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must be Indian citizens, aged between 20 and 28 years as of April 1, 2026, and possess a graduation degree from a recognized university.

4. Selection Process:

The selection process includes an online written test and a test of local language proficiency. Candidates must qualify in both to be considered for apprenticeship.

5. Stipend:

Selected apprentices will receive a stipend of ₹15,000 per month during the one-year training period.
