CSIR has announced the recruitment for Section Officer positions for non-recommended candidates of UPSC's Civil Services Examination 2024. The notification details the eligibility criteria, application process, and selection stages.

1. Application Period:

The application window for the Section Officer positions is open from January 15, 2026, to February 4, 2026. Candidates are encouraged to apply early to avoid last-minute issues.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must possess a university degree and be listed as non-recommended candidates of UPSC's CSE-2024. Age should not exceed 33 years as of the closing date of the application.

3. Total Number of Vacancies:

A total of 8 vacancies are available, distributed across different categories including General, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS.

4. Application Fee:

An application fee of ₹500 is applicable for UR, OBC, and EWS candidates. Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying the fee.

5. Selection Process:

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their UPSC CSE-2024 marks and will undergo an interview process conducted by CSIR.
