Hooghly Cochin Shipyard Limited (HCSL) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Ship Design Assistant (Mechanical) on a contract basis. The notification details the eligibility criteria, application process, selection procedure, and other important information.

1. Application Period:

The application window for the Ship Design Assistant (Mechanical) position is open from July 24, 2024, to August 31, 2024. Candidates are encouraged to apply early to avoid last-minute issues.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must possess a three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks and at least two years of relevant experience in a shipyard, engineering company, government/semi-government company, private design establishment, or commercial establishment.

3. Contract Duration:

The position is on a fixed-term contract basis for a maximum period of three years, subject to project requirements and individual performance.

4. Selection Process:

The selection process includes an objective type test followed by certificate verification and a practical test. The objective test will be held offline at HCSL, Howrah.

5. Age Limit:

The upper age limit for applicants is 30 years as of August 31, 2024. Age relaxation is applicable for PwBD and Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines.
