Job Details
Associate Consultants (Technical - ECE) will study and analyze technologies and developments in the telecom and broadcasting ecosystem, including international best practices; assist in the formulation/finalization of consultation papers and recommendations; analyze/examine data; and perform any other tasks assigned by the Authority. Engagement is contractual at TRAI HQ, New Delhi, with fixed monthly remuneration and transport allowance as per the vacancy circular and Annexure-A terms.

- Essential qualification: B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent in Electronics/Communications/Telecommunications or a combination thereof.
- Additional qualification: ME/MTech/MBA/PhD.
- Post-qualification experience: NIL.
- Nature of duties: Technology analysis in telecom/broadcasting, international best practices review, assistance in consultation papers/recommendations, data analysis, and other assigned tasks.

- Secondary School Certificate or 10th class mark sheet (showing date of birth), or Birth Certificate. If Secondary School Certificate does not include DOB, upload another valid government-issued document for age verification.
- 2. Educational qualifications:
- Mark sheets from 10th class onwards and Degree Certificate (Provisional or Final) with the final semester mark sheet showing marks obtained.
- 3. Post-qualification experience/employment:
- Experience certificates from previous/current employer(s) on company letterhead, clearly mentioning date of joining, date of relieving/continuation, and duties performed. Experience should be after acquiring the essential qualification.
- 4. Other documents:
- Any other relevant documents.
Important Instructions
- 1. Vacancy tentative:
- Number of vacancies are tentative; a reserve panel will be prepared for near-future vacancies.

Training Details
- 1. Certification courses:
- Associate Consultants may pursue approved online certification courses (beyond office hours) with reimbursement up to Rs 25,000 per annum upon successful completion.
Bond or Service Agreement
- 1. Nature of engagement:
- Consultants are not TRAI staff; they must comply with confidentiality and the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
- 2. Notice period:
- Either side may terminate the contract by giving one month’s written notice; TRAI may also terminate without notice in specified circumstances as per Annexure-A.
Disqualification Criteria
- 1. False information:
- If any declaration/information is found false or material information is suppressed, the contract is liable to be terminated and further action may be taken.
