Job Details
TRAI invites applications for one Senior Associate Consultant Grade-I (Technical) in the Broadcasting & Cable Services (B&CS) Division at TRAI HQ, New Delhi, on a one-year contract (extendable). The consultant will assist in regulatory, technical and advisory functions; stakeholder engagement and response consolidation; data management and report preparation; study of global practices and regulatory frameworks; drafting of technical/consultation papers and recommendations; providing technical inputs for Regulations, Tariff Orders, Directives and guidelines; examining issues related to Licensing, Interconnection Regulations and Tariff Orders; and assisting in monitoring compliance with TRAI regulations and directions, along with any other tasks assigned. Engagement will be governed by TRAI Guidelines [Letter No. A-25/4/(3)/2021-A&P dated 05.08.2025] and the Terms & Conditions in Annexure-A.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational qualification (essential): Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in Electronics/Communications/Electrical/Telecommunications/Computer Science/Information Technology/Data Science from a recognized University/Institution.
- Educational qualification (desirable): Master’s degree in the above discipline(s).
- Experience (essential): Four (04) years’ post-qualification experience in Broadcasting/Telecom sector.
- Experience (desirable): Regulatory-domain experience in broadcasting/telecom including policy/consultation papers/recommendations/regulatory directions or orders.
Age Limitations:
- Upper age limit: 35 years as on 28 July 2026 (date of issue of vacancy circular).
Salary Details
> Salary Range: ₹1,20,000 - ₹1,20,000 Monthly
> Allowances: Fixed Transport Allowance @ Rs 8,000 per month in addition to remuneration.

- Post-qualification experience/employment certificates on employer’s letterhead (previous and current) clearly mentioning date of joining, date of relieving or continuation, and duties performed; experience must correspond to period after acquiring essential qualification.

- Any other relevant documents.
