1. Total Number of Vacancies:

The recruitment is for 5 Trainee Pilot positions with reservations: ST - 1, OBC - 1, EWS - 2, UR - 1.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must possess Marine qualifications such as Master (FG)/Dredge Master Gr. I, First Mate (FG)/Dredge Master- Gr. II, Second Mate (FG)/Dredge Mate- Gr. I, or B.Sc. Nautical Science.

3. Age Limit:

Age limits vary based on qualifications: B.Sc. Nautical Science - 25 years, Second Mate (FG)/Dredge Mate Grade-I - 30 years, First Mate (FG)/Dredge Master Gr. II - 35 years, Master (FG)/Dredge Master Gr. I - 40 years. Relaxations apply for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

4. Application Deadline:

Applications must be submitted by April 21, 2025. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

5. Training and Bond:

Selected candidates will undergo training and must sign a bond to serve SMP, Kolkata for at least 5 years post-qualification as a Pilot.
