UIDAI announces that Aadhaar enrolment is free and specifies charges for update services. Biometric updates generally cost ₹125, but they are free for the first-time update at ages 5–7 and for the first or second time at ages 15–17; updates between ages 7–15 are free till 30.9.2026. Demographic updates (name, gender, date of birth, address, mobile number, email) are free when performed together with a biometric update, or ₹75 if done separately. Document update (submission of POI/POA supporting enrolled details) is free through the myAadhaar portal till 14.06.2027 and ₹75 at an Aadhaar centre. Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) must be conducted as a stand‑alone transaction.
