Document Requirements
- 1. Original documents:
- Original documents must be presented at enrolment; they are returned after making an electronic copy and verification against originals.
- 2. Supporting documents list:
- Acceptable PoI/PoA/PoR documents are listed at the UIDAI link provided in the Charter.
- 3. HoF-based enrolment PoR:
- For HoF-based enrolment, a Proof of Relationship document establishing the relationship is required; only children whose names appear in the PoR can be enrolled on this basis.
Important Instructions
- 1. Free enrolment and forms:
- Aadhaar enrolment is free of cost. The Aadhaar Enrolment/Update form is free and can be printed from the UIDAI website.
- 2. HoF-based address update (online):
- If the HoF does not accept within 30 days, the request auto-closes and the service fee is not refunded.
- 3. Limits on demographic updates:
- Name can be updated twice, Gender once, and Date of Birth once; further changes require exception handling via UIDAI Regional Office as per published SOPs.
- 4. Single enrolment:
- Individuals should enrol only once; re-enrol only if the request is rejected unless advised by UIDAI.
