Job Details

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is a statutory authority established under the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 for developing the policy, procedure and systems for issuing Aadhaar numbers to individuals and performing authentication thereof. By Circular dated 7 October 2025 (Recruitment Notice No. 144/2025), UIDAI invites applications from eligible officers of the Central Government, State/UT Governments, Public Sector Undertakings and Autonomous Organisations for filling up four posts of Technical Officer at the UIDAI Technology Centre, Bengaluru, on deputation basis on Foreign Service terms. The post carries Pay Matrix Level-8 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (Rs 47,600 - Rs 1,51,100). Applications must be routed through proper channel in the form set out in Annex I of the circular, together with the forwarding officer's certificate in Annex II, cadre clearance and attested ACRs/APARs for the last five years, and must reach Director (HR), UIDAI, Technology Centre, Bengaluru by 8 December 2025. Private candidates are not eligible.

How to Apply

1. Mode of application:
Eligible and interested individuals may apply through proper channel in the form set out in Annex I of the circular.
2. Forwarding:
Addressee organisations are requested to forward applications of eligible individuals whose services can be spared by the cadre controlling authority if selected. Applications of individuals whose services cannot be spared may not be forwarded.
3. Where to send:

4. Deadline:
Applications complete in all respects must be received by 8.12.2025. Applications received after the last date or which are incomplete may not be considered.

Selection Process

1. Selection:
The circular states no written examination or interview stage. Applications complete in all respects, forwarded through proper channel with cadre clearance and ACRs/APARs, are considered by UIDAI.

Document Requirements

1. Application form:
Application in the form set out in Annex I of the circular, submitted through proper channel.
2. Forwarding certificate:
Certificate from the forwarding officer in the form set out in Annex II.
3. Cadre clearance:
Cadre clearance from the cadre controlling authority.
4. ACRs / APARs:
Copies of ACRs/APARs for the last five years, attested on each page by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India or equivalent in the parent organisation.

Important Instructions

1. Preference:
Officers holding an analogous post in the parent organisation may be preferred.
2. Withdrawal of candidature:
Individuals who apply for the post may not withdraw their candidature subsequently.
3. Private candidates:
Since the post is to be filled on deputation basis, private candidates are not eligible.
4. Residual service:
Minimum residual service should be 3 years as on the closing date for the application.
5. Vacancy count:
UIDAI may change the number of vacancies at any time, in its discretion.
6. Withdrawal of circular:
The Authority reserves the right to withdraw the circular at any time without assigning any reason.

Bond or Service Agreement

1. Period of deputation:
Five years. The lending organisation may relieve an officer for a lesser period as per its rules, subject to a minimum of three years.
2. Governing rules:
UIDAI (Appointment of Officers and Employees) Regulations, 2020 and UIDAI (Salary, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Employees) Regulations, 2020; leave under CCS (Leave) Rules, 1972; deputation terms under DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay II) dated 17.6.2010.
3. Pay protection:
Where the lending organisation's pay structure or Dearness Allowance pattern is dissimilar to UIDAI's, only pay is protected and not perquisites, per paragraph 5.1(ii)(b) of DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay II) dated 17.6.2010.
4. Medical facilities:
An officer availing Central Government Health Scheme facilities in the parent organisation may opt to continue with the same; alternatively the UIDAI Medical Reimbursement Scheme applies.
