The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2025. This examination is conducted for recruitment to various Group A and Group B posts in the Geological Survey of India and the Central Ground Water Board. The notification outlines the eligibility criteria, application process, examination schedule, and other important details.

1. Application Period:

The application window for the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2025 is open from September 4, 2024, to September 24, 2024. Candidates must apply online through the UPSC website.

2. Preliminary Examination Date:

The Preliminary Examination is scheduled to be held on February 9, 2025, at various centers across India.

3. Total Number of Vacancies:

The examination will fill approximately 85 vacancies across various posts, including Geologist, Geophysicist, Chemist, and Scientist B positions.

4. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must possess a relevant Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Chemistry, or related fields from a recognized university. The age limit is 21 to 32 years as of January 1, 2025, with relaxations applicable for reserved categories.

5. Application Fee:

An application fee of ₹200 is applicable for General and OBC candidates. SC/ST/PwBD and female candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
