Job Details

DGS seeks a Professional Psychological Counsellor to operate a 24x7 Seafarer Welfare Counselling Helpline, providing confidential tele/online counselling to seafarers and their families. Responsibilities include handling issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, isolation, workplace conflict, repatriation distress, abandonment, family-related concerns, and suicidal ideation/self-harm risk; maintaining case logs; classifying and escalating high‑risk cases to designated authorities; documentation and monthly/quarterly reporting; and supporting awareness and preventive engagement through sessions and content development. The role is remote and on-call round the clock, requires adherence to confidentiality and ethical standards, and includes defined KPIs and reporting to the Deputy Director General of Crew Welfare or a designated officer.

Salary Details

> Gross Salary: ₹60,000 Monthly
