The Ministry of Home Affairs has released an official notification inviting applications from retired officers for empanelment as Inquiry Officers to conduct departmental inquiries in the Narcotics Control Bureau under CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965. The notification details eligibility criteria, application process, and terms of appointment.

1. Eligibility Criteria:

Retired officers not below the rank of Deputy Secretary in Central Government or equivalent in State Government/PSUs, who have not been penalized in disciplinary proceedings, are eligible to apply.

2. Age Limit:

Applicants should not be more than 65 years of age as on April 1, 2026.

3. Application Process:

Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format, either via email or post, to the Deputy Director (Vigilance), Narcotics Control Bureau HQrs., New Delhi.

4. Honorarium and Allowances:

Honorarium and allowances will be paid as per DoP&T guidelines, subject to conditions such as report acceptance by the Disciplinary Authority.

5. Important Date:

The closing date for receiving duly filled applications is February 28, 2026.
