Job Details

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will conduct the Common Recruitment Process for RRBs (CRP RRBs X) to fill vacancies of Group “A” Officers (Scale I, II & III) and Group “B” Office Assistant (Multipurpose) across participating Regional Rural Banks. Office Assistant and Officer Scale I will have two-tier online exams (Preliminary and Main), while Officer Scale II and III will have a single online examination; shortlisted Officers will be called for a common interview coordinated by Nodal RRBs with NABARD and IBPS. Provisional allotment will be based on merit-cum-preference, reservation guidelines and vacancies reported by RRBs; negative marking (one-fourth) applies, and scores are normalized using the equipercentile method.

Additional Information

  • Validity of CRP: Validity of CRP for RRBs X will automatically expire one year after the date of Provisional Allotment or until a fresh provisional allotment is made, whichever is earlier.

How to Apply

1. Application mode:
Candidates must apply online only through the authorised IBPS website; separate applications and fees are required for each post applied.
2. Registration steps:
Click ‘CRP for RRBs’ on www.ibps.in, choose the appropriate link for Officers or Office Assistant, complete ‘New Registration’, note Registration Number and Password, upload Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression and Handwritten Declaration as per Annexure III, and pay fees online.
3. State preference (Scale I & Office Assistant):
Candidates must indicate the state for provisional allotment in the online application; the option once exercised is irrevocable.
4. Email ID:
Candidates must have a valid personal email ID kept active till completion of the process to receive intimation for call letters and other communications.
5. Final submission:
Verify details using ‘Save & Next’; no change is permitted after clicking ‘Complete Registration’. Incomplete applications or unsuccessful fee payment will be invalid.

1. Negative marking:
Penalty of one-fourth of the marks assigned to the question for each wrong answer in Preliminary/Main/Single level examinations.
2. Office Assistant (Preliminary):
Reasoning 40 Q/40 marks; Numerical Ability 40 Q/40 marks; composite time 45 minutes.
3. Officer Scale I (Preliminary):
Reasoning 40 Q/40 marks; Quantitative Aptitude 40 Q/40 marks; composite time 45 minutes.
4. Office Assistant (Main):
Reasoning 40 Q/50 marks; Computer Knowledge 40 Q/20 marks; General Awareness 40 Q/40 marks; English Language 40 Q/40 marks or Hindi Language 40 Q/40 marks; Numerical Ability 40 Q/50 marks; total 200 Q/200 marks; composite time 2 hours.
5. Officer Scale I (Main):

Scores are normalized using the equipercentile method; scores up to two decimals are considered.

Selection Process

1. Office Assistant:
Two-tier online exam (Preliminary and Main); provisional allotment based on Main exam marks and vacancies reported by RRBs.
2. Officer Scale I:
Preliminary and Main online exams; shortlisted candidates are called for a common interview coordinated by Nodal RRBs with NABARD and IBPS.
3. Officer Scale II & III:
Single online examination; shortlisted candidates are called for a common interview coordinated by Nodal RRBs with NABARD and IBPS.
4. Interview weightage (Officers):
Relative weightage of Online Examination and Interview is 80:20; total interview marks are 100.
5. Cutoff policy:
Minimum scores are required in each test and sufficiently high total score for shortlisting; numbers called for interview shall not exceed three times the declared vacancies, subject to availability.

Admit Card Details

1. Call letters download:
Candidates must download call letters from www.ibps.in using Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth; no hard copy will be sent.
2. Preliminary call letter handling:
Preliminary call letter will be authenticated/stamped at the exam venue and must be retained and produced at the Main exam along with authenticated ID copy.
3. Scribe call letter:
An additional call letter for scribe will be available for applicable exams.

Reservation Details

1. PwBD reservation:
Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016; eligible categories and scribe/compensatory time guidelines are provided.
2. Age relaxations:
SC/ST 5 years; OBC 3 years; PwBD 10 years; Ex-Servicemen and specified categories as detailed in the notification, including widows/divorced women for Office Assistant.
3. EWS:
EWS reservation applicable subject to production of valid Income & Asset Certificate; criteria and competent authorities specified; vacancies are tentative and subject to GOI directives/outcome of litigation.
4. Ex-Servicemen definitions:
Definitions and eligibility for Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen/Dependents of Servicemen killed in action provided; applicable proformas A–D included.

Document Requirements

1. At interview/joining (as applicable):
Interview call letter; system-generated application printout; proof of date of birth; photo identity proof; graduation/qualification mark-sheets/certificates (result declared on/before 28.06.2021); experience certificates (as on 28.06.2021) if applicable; caste/category certificate (SC/ST/OBC with non-creamy layer clause); EWS certificate; disability certificate (PwBD); scribe details (if used).
2. For Ex-Servicemen:
Service/Discharge book, PPO, proof of last rank; serving personnel to produce certificate of release by 27.06.2022 and other applicable proformas.
3. NOC:
No Objection Certificate from employer for candidates serving in Government/quasi-govt/PSUs/Nationalised Banks/Financial Institutions.
4. Other documents:
Eligibility certificate (for categories under nationality clauses), certificate for 1984 riot-affected persons where applicable, and any other relevant documents supporting eligibility.

Important Instructions

1. General conduct:
Unruly behavior/misbehavior may result in cancellation of candidature/disqualification from this exam and future IBPS exams.
2. Multiple applications:
Not more than one application per cadre (Office Assistant and Officers) should be submitted; the latest valid application will be retained; fees for other registrations will be forfeited.
3. Provisional nature:
Admission to exams/interview/provisional allotment is strictly provisional; candidature may be canceled at any stage if eligibility norms are not met.
4. Prohibited items:
Stationery, communication devices, metallic items, watches, and other listed items are not allowed inside the examination center.
5. Social distancing exam protocol:
Staggered reporting, compulsory mask, thermal screening, Aarogya Setu status/declaration, personal sanitizer and water bottle permitted; detailed instructions provided in the notice.

Interview Details

1. Coordination:
Interviews for Officers (Scale I, II & III) are coordinated by Nodal RRBs with the help of NABARD and IBPS; centers and schedules are informed via call letters.
2. Marks and weightage:
Total interview marks are 100; the ratio of Online Examination to Interview is 80:20 for Officers.
3. Travel reimbursement:
Eligible outstation SC/ST/PwBD candidates called for interview will be paid II class to & fro fare/actual expenses, whichever is less, on production of proof of travel; not admissible if already in service in Government/PSUs etc.

Training Details

1. Pre-Exam Training (PET):
To be arranged by participating RRBs for eligible categories; may not be held due to COVID-19; centers and timelines are indicated; expenses are to be borne by candidates.

Disqualification Criteria

1. Unfair means/misconduct:
Use of unfair means, impersonation, misbehavior, disclosure of test content, carrying prohibited items, or irregularities may lead to disqualification, debarment and/or termination if already appointed; IBPS analyzes response patterns to detect similarity and may cancel candidature without notice.

1. Provisional allotment:
Allotment is based on merit-cum-preference, reservation rules and vacancies reported; it does not constitute an offer of employment and is subject to RRB’s verification and decision.
2. Call letters handling:
For Scale I and Office Assistant, Preliminary call letter will be authenticated/stamped and must be produced at Main exam; for Scale II & III, call letter and ID copy are to be submitted post-exam as instructed.
