The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I), 2025. This examination is a gateway for candidates aspiring to join the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 155th Course and the 117th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). The notification outlines the eligibility criteria, application process, examination schedule, and selection procedures.

1. Application Period:

The application window for the NDA & NA Examination (I), 2025 is open from December 11, 2024, to December 31, 2024. Candidates are advised to apply early to secure their preferred examination center.

2. Examination Date:

The examination is scheduled to be conducted on April 13, 2025, across various centers in India.

3. Total Number of Vacancies:

The approximate number of vacancies to be filled through this examination is 406, distributed across the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Naval Academy.

4. Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must be unmarried male/female, born not earlier than July 2, 2006, and not later than July 1, 2009. Educational qualifications vary for different wings.

5. Application Fee:

An application fee of ₹100 is applicable for General and OBC candidates. SC/ST/female candidates and wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from paying the fee.
