Job Details

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) invites applications on deputation (Foreign Service terms) for Assistant Section Officer at the Regional Office, Mumbai, in Pay Matrix Level 6 (₹35,400–₹1,12,400). Eligibility includes officers from Central Government on analogous posts or with the prescribed regular service in Levels 5/4/3, and officers from State/UT Governments/PSUs/Autonomous Organisations in corresponding grades with requisite experience; age must be below 56 years as on the application closing date. The period of deputation shall be five years (the lending organisation may relieve for a lesser period subject to a minimum of three years). Terms and conditions, including recruitment, appointment, salary and allowances, are governed by UIDAI Regulations, 2020; leave by CCS (Leave) Rules, 1972; and deputation terms by DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009‑Estt.(Pay II) dated 17.6.2010. Where the parent organisation’s pay/DA pattern is dissimilar, only pay is protected as per DoPT OM. Medical facilities: officers on CGHS may continue with CGHS and are also eligible under UIDAI’s Medical Reimbursement Scheme.

  • Who can apply (Central Govt): Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis OR with 3 years in Level‑5, OR 5 years in Level‑4, OR 7 years in Level‑3 (7th CPC).
  • Who can apply (State/UT/PSU/Autonomous): Officers holding regular post in corresponding grades with requisite experience.
  • Desirable: Experience in Administration/Legal/Establishment/HR/Finance/Accounts/Budgeting/Vigilance/Procurement/Planning & Policy/Project implementation & monitoring/E‑Governance; basic computer skills.

2. Annex II (Forwarding certificate):
Certificate from forwarding authority confirming period of relieving, correctness of records, integrity, vigilance status, and details of penalties (if any).
3. Cadre clearance:
Cadre clearance from the cadre controlling authority.
4. ACRs/APARs:
Attested copies of ACRs/APARs for the last five years (each page attested by officer not below Under Secretary or equivalent).

Important Instructions

1. Cadre controlling authority clarification:
For IAS/IPS/IFS, cadre control authorities are DoPT/MHA/MoEF respectively; where none is specified, the competent relieving authority is treated as the cadre controlling authority for this circular.
2. Deputation tenure:
Period of deputation shall be five years; lending organisation may relieve for a lesser period subject to a minimum of three years.
3. UIDAI’s discretion:
UIDAI may change the number of vacancies and reserves the right to withdraw the circular at any time without assigning reasons.
