Job Details

The Directorate of Extension, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (Krishi Vistar Bhawan, Pusa, New Delhi) invites applications on deputation basis (including Short-Term Contract) / composite method to fill 18 vacancies across seven posts. Posts include Photographic Officer, Senior Translator, Assistant Extension Officer, Stenographer Grade I, Photographer, Upper Division Clerk and Staff Car Driver Grade II. Pay levels range from Level-4 (Rs. 25500-81100) to Level-7 (Rs. 44900-142400). Eligibility conditions for each post are defined in Annexures I–VII of the circular and include analogous posts or prescribed regular service in lower pay levels along with specific educational/experience requirements. Applications must come through proper channel with APAR/ACRs, vigilance and integrity clearances, penalties statement and cadre clearance. Selection will be based on assessment of bio-data, APAR/ACRs and interview; maximum age for deputation is 56 years as on the closing date.

1. Photographic Officer

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Deputation: Officers under Central/State Govts/UTs/PSUs/Statutory/Autonomous Bodies/Agricultural Universities/Recognised Research Institutes/Semi‑Govt organisations holding analogous posts; or with 5 years’ regular service in Level‑6 (Rs. 35400‑112400) or equivalent in parent cadre/department.
  • Essential qualification/experience: Senior Secondary School pass; and (i) Diploma in Photography from a recognised university/institute with 2 years’ professional experience in various fields of photography; OR (ii) Certificate Course in Photography from a recognised university/institute with 3 years’ professional experience in various fields of photography.
  • Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with Photography as a subject from a recognised university/institute.

Age Limitations:

  • Age (deputation): Not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

2. Senior Translator

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Deputation: Officers from Central/State Governments/UT Administrations holding analogous post; or with 5 years’ service in posts in Level‑6 (Rs. 35400‑112400) in the Pay Matrix.
  • Educational qualification: Master’s degree of a recognised University (i) in Hindi with English as compulsory/elective subject or as medium at degree level; OR (ii) in English with Hindi as compulsory/elective subject or as medium at degree level; OR (iii) in any subject with Hindi medium and English as compulsory/elective subject or as medium at degree level; OR (iv) in any subject with English medium and Hindi as compulsory/elective subject or as medium at degree level; OR (v) in any subject with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level; AND recognised Diploma/Certificate in Translation from Hindi to English and vice‑versa OR 3 years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice‑versa in Central/State Government offices including GOI Undertakings.
  • Departmental note: Departmental Junior Translator with 5 years’ regular service in Level‑6 will also be considered along with outsiders; if selected, the post will be deemed filled by promotion.

3. Assistant Extension Officer

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Deputation: Officers under Central/State Govts/UT Administrations/PSUs/Semi‑Govt/Autonomous Bodies/Statutory Organisations/Agricultural Universities/recognised research institutions or councils holding analogous post; or with 6 years’ regular service in post in Rs. 5200‑20200 (PB‑I) + GP 2800 (pre‑revised) or equivalent.
  • Educational qualification: Master’s Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Extension; OR MBA with Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture; OR Master’s Degree in Rural Management; OR Master’s Degree in Agriculture Business Management or Vegetable Sciences or Horticulture or Agro Forestry; OR Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognised university/institute.
  • Equivalence note: Pre‑revised pay scale service prior to 01.01.2006 to be treated as service in the corresponding replacement grade/pay scale as per Sixth CPC, subject to conditions stated in the circular.

4. Stenographer Grade I

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Deputation: Stenographers under Central/State Govts/UT Administrations/Universities/Recognised Research Institutes/PSUs/Semi‑Govt/Autonomous Bodies/Statutory Organisations holding analogous post; OR with 6 years’ service in Level‑5 (Rs. 29200‑92300); OR with 10 years’ service in Level‑4 (Rs. 25500‑81100).

5. Photographer

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Deputation: Officers under Central/State Govts/UTs/PSUs/Statutory Organisations/Autonomous Bodies/Universities/Recognised Research Institutes/Semi‑Govt organisations holding analogous posts; or with 6 years’ regular service in Level‑5 (Rs. 29200‑92300) or equivalent in parent cadre/department.

7. Staff Car Driver Grade II

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Deputation: Staff Car Drivers under Central/State Govts/UTs/Universities/Recognised Research Institutions/PSUs/Autonomous or Statutory Organisations or Local Bodies holding analogous post; or with 9 years’ service in Level‑2 (Rs. 19900‑63200) in the pay matrix.
  • Other requirements: Must have passed the Government‑specified trade test, possess a valid driving licence for motor cars and have at least 5 years’ experience of driving motor cars.

  • Age (deputation): Not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Salary Details

> Salary Range: 25,500 - ₹1,42,400 Monthly

2. APAR/ACRs:
Attested copies of APAR/ACR dossiers for the last five years (each page attested) by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to Govt. of India.
3. Vigilance clearance:
Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
4. Integrity certificate:
Integrity Certificate.
5. Penalties statement:
Statement of major/minor penalty, if any, imposed during the last 10 years.
6. Cadre clearance:
Cadre Clearance Certificate.

1. Deputation rules:
Appointment on deputation will be governed by DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009‑Estt.(Pay II) dated 17.06.2010, as amended.
