Job Details
The Marine Consultant (Master Mariner) will be engaged on a contractual basis at the DG COMM & LRIT Centre, Nav Bhavan, Mumbai (a 24x7 operation). Key responsibilities include supervision of the operational running of the DG COMM Centre; analysis and preparation of summaries of marine casualty data including past incidents; supervision of Radio Officers/Operators at LRIT/DG COMM; preparation of analytical reports on marine casualties reported by companies; coordination with various agencies for casualties, cyclones and incident reports as per SOPs; dissemination of reports after approval from NS (Casualty) Branch; and reporting to the Nautical Surveyor (Casualty Branch) on operational matters of NDC, LRIT and DG COMM. The contract is renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance and applicable Government guidelines.

- Competency: Certificate of Competency: Master (FG).
- Education: Any Graduate / B.E. / B.Tech in any specialization or CoC as Master (FG).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years sailing experience in management rank (Master/Chief Officer); at least 1 year sailing as Master desirable.
- IT skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and data analysis tools.
Age Limitations:
- Age: Preference below 50 years; relaxable for exceptional experience and domain expertise.
Salary Details
> Gross Salary: ₹22,50,000 Annually
Other Information
- Payment channel: Payment will be done through Indian Register of Shipping (IRS).
- Remuneration type: Consolidated, all inclusive.
