Job Details
The post of Deputy Director (Engineering) in the Development Wing involves: scrutiny of detailed project/feasibility reports and cost estimates for major/minor/intermediate port and fishing harbour projects; examination of tender documents and specifications for civil/mechanical works of port projects; preparation/scrutiny of draft notes for EFC, PIB and CCEA on investment proposals; work relating to committees/working groups of the Ministry, Port Trusts and other Departments; scrutiny of R&D proposals and monitoring of ongoing R&D schemes; providing technical inputs on audit paras/reports of projects audited by CAG; and scrutiny of design/drawings and technical specifications of floating crafts/cranes and other equipment, including procurement proposals from Major Ports/ALHW and other Ministries/Departments. Recruitment is on deputation (including short‑term contract) basis and the deputation period shall ordinarily not exceed three years.

> Salary Range: ₹67,700 - ₹2,08,700 Monthly
