Job Details

The National Bee Board (NBB), a society registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and reconstituted by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare under the chairmanship of Secretary (DA&FW) in June 2006, requires two Consultants purely on contract basis. The work covers policy planning and new initiatives in beekeeping; formulation, execution, implementation and monitoring of project proposals and of schemes under the National Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM); good beekeeping practices, publication and publicity; capacity-building programmes, trainings, awareness programmes, seminars and conferences; registration and development of traceability/block chain for honey and other beehive products; promoting scientific beekeeping and standardisation for domestic consumption and export of honey; post-harvest management of beehive products (honey, wax, pollen, propolis, royal jelly, bee venom) including collection, processing, storage, marketing and value addition; field visits and monitoring of scheme activities; and maintenance of project records with monthly and quarterly progress reports.

Job Summary

The National Bee Board is engaging two Consultants on contract for one year, extendable on performance, at Rs. 80,000 per month, at its office in Janpath Bhawan, New Delhi. A Master's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Beekeeping, Apiculture or allied subjects with First Division or 60% marks and two years of relevant project and scheme-management experience is essential; the maximum age is 60 years.
