1. Application Period:
The application window for the Indian Forest Service Examination 2026 is open from February 4, 2026, to February 24, 2026. Candidates are advised to apply early to avoid last-minute issues.
2. Preliminary Examination Date:
The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, which serves as a screening test for the Indian Forest Service Examination, will be held on May 24, 2026.
3. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the specified subjects such as Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology, or a degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering.
4. Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 21 and 32 years of age as of August 1, 2026. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories.
5. Application Fee:
An application fee of ₹100 is applicable for General and OBC candidates. SC/ST/PwBD and female candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
