Job Details
The Office of the Custodian of Enemy Property for India (CEPI), Ministry of Home Affairs, invites applications to fill posts of Chief Supervisor (Level-12) and Surveyor (Level-6) in its Branch Offices at Mumbai, Lucknow and Kolkata on contractual basis. The Chief Supervisor prepares proposals with documentation for disposal of enemy properties, submits reports with documents vesting property in CEPI, interacts regularly with district authorities to update the enemy property record, supervises the work of supervisors and surveyors and liaises with revenue departments and officers of the State Government. The Surveyor surveys vested properties and submits detailed reports in the prescribed format with required documents, surveys suspected properties of enemy nationals, interacts regularly with the District Revenue authorities and carries out any other task assigned by the senior officer; a specific cluster of districts is assigned to each Surveyor. The appointment is full-time, of a temporary non-official nature against specific jobs, and the person may not take up any other assignment during the period of consultancy.

Surveyor with Land Revenue and Finance background having knowledge of computer operations on contractual basis; OR on contractual basis with minimum 2 years' experience in Land Survey work or holding a Diploma Degree in Survey, and knowledge of Regional Language would be preferred
Salary Details
> Salary Range: ₹30,000 - ₹72,000 Monthly
Other Information
- Chief Supervisor: Rs. 72,000 per month or as per DoPT's guidelines for retired Govt. Officer
- Surveyor: Rs. 30,000 per month or as per DoPT's guidelines for retired Govt. Officer
- Retired Government servants: For retired Govt. servants the monthly remuneration will be the difference of last pay drawn minus pension as per DoPT guidelines
- Allowances: No Dearness Allowance, residential accommodation, personal staff, CGHS or medical reimbursement is admissible
- Unavailed leave: Unavailed leave shall neither be carried forward to the next year nor encashed; no other kind of leave shall be admissible; no remuneration for absence in excess of admissible leave
- TA/DA: No TA/DA is admissible for joining the assignment or on its completion; foreign travel is not permitted; domestic official travel is paid as per the analogous post with prior approval
- TDS: TDS as admissible shall be deducted from the monthly remuneration; a TDS certificate will be issued by the concerned DDO on demand
- Periodic revision: Monthly remuneration to non-retired government officials is subject to periodic revision

Disqualification Criteria
- 1. Premature termination:
- The engagement may be terminated if the Consultant/Official is unable to address and perform well in the assigned work; if the quality of work is not up to the satisfaction of the Department; if the Consultant fails in timely achievement of the milestones as finally decided by the Ministry/Office of the CEPI; or if the Consultant/Official is found lacking in honesty and integrity
- 2. Notice of termination:
- The Office of the CEPI reserves the right to terminate the engagement by serving fifteen (15) days' written notice; termination shall be effected on the day right after the completion of fifteen days of delivery of such notice
- 3. Resignation:
- A Consultant/Official who wishes to resign must give 15 days' advance notice or remuneration in lieu thereof
Probation Period
- 1. Period of engagement:
- The initial engagement of a person as Consultant/Official would be for one year, extendable after expiry of the initial term based on the requirement of the office of CEPI and the performance of the Consultant/Official for a maximum period of one year at a time; relaxation may be given in deserving cases
