The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued special instructions for candidates with disabilities appearing for examinations. These instructions include the use of scribes, assistive devices, and compensatory time as per the guidelines under the RPwD Act 2016.
- 1. Scribe Assistance:
- Candidates with disabilities can avail the services of a scribe/reader/lab assistant during the examination. The scribe's qualifications must not exceed the specified criteria for the examination.
- 2. Use of Assistive Devices:
- Candidates are allowed to use aids and assistive devices such as prosthetics, orthotics, and hearing aids during the examination.
- 3. Compensatory Time:
- Additional time will be provided to candidates with disabilities as specified in the guidelines.
- 4. Validity of Certificate:
- The certificate for the use of a scribe is valid for a maximum period of one year or less as certified by the medical authority.
