Selection Process
- 1. Shortlisting basis:
- Candidates are shortlisted for 2nd Stage CBT on merit in 1st Stage CBT, considering their order of preference for various posts.
- 2. Reservation continuity:
- Candidates availing reservation benefits (OBC‑NCL/SC/ST/EWS, PwBD and ExSM) will continue to be considered only against their respective categories for all subsequent stages.
- 3. Next stages:
- Subsequent shortlisting for Document Verification will be based on performance in the 2nd Stage CBT (and other applicable tests as per rules).
- 4. Provisional status:
- Candidature of all qualified candidates is purely provisional and liable to cancellation in case of inconsistencies or malpractice.

Document Requirements
- 1. Aadhaar to carry:
- Candidates must bring their original Aadhaar card or a printout of e-verified Aadhaar for biometric authentication at the exam centre.
- 2. Aadhaar details update:
- Aadhaar should be updated with correct name, date of birth (as per Class 10th certificate), latest photograph, biometrics (if not updated after attaining age of 14 years), address and father's name.

- 1. Aadhaar authentication:
- Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication is done at the exam centre before entry to the exam hall. Candidates must bring their original Aadhaar card or a printout of e-verified Aadhaar, and are advised to authenticate their identification through Aadhaar verification in advance by logging in at www.rrbapply.gov.in.
- 2. Aadhaar unlocked in UIDAI system:
- Candidates, including those who verified their Aadhaar at the application submission stage, should ensure their Aadhaar remains in unlocked condition in the UIDAI system before coming to the exam centre.
- 3. Aadhaar details to be correct:
- The Aadhaar card should be updated with the correct name, date of birth as per the Class 10th certificate, latest photograph, address and father's name.
- 4. Official sources only:
- Candidates should refer only to the official websites of the RRBs for the latest updates on the recruitment process and should not be misled by unauthenticated sources.
- 5. Beware of touts:
- RRB selections are based on the Computer Based Test and recruitment is based only on the merit of the candidates; touts promising appointment on illegal consideration should be ignored.
