- 1. All candidates except the concession categories below:
- Rs. 500. Of this, Rs. 400 is refunded, after deducting bank charges, on appearing in the first stage CBT.
- 2. Female, transgender and Ex-Servicemen candidates, and candidates belonging to SC, ST, minority communities, Economically Backward Class (EBC) and PwBD:
- Rs. 250. This fee is refunded, after deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in the first stage CBT.
- 3. Modification fee:
- Rs. 250 (non-refundable) for each occasion on which the submitted application is modified, payable by all candidates irrespective of community or category, between 17.10.2025 and 26.10.2025.
- 4. Difference on changing category:
- A candidate modifying the community from SC/ST to UR, OBC or EWS, or switching from ExSM/female/transgender/PwBD to UR/OBC-NCL/EWS/non-ExSM/non-PwBD/male, must pay the difference in examination fee of Rs. 250 in addition to the modification fee, failing which the modified application is not accepted.
Payment Methods
- 1. Mode:
- Online only, through internet banking, debit or credit card, or UPI. There is no option to pay the fee by any other mode.

- All applicable service charges for the online payment mode chosen are borne by the candidate.
- 3. Acceptance of application:

Other Information
- 1. Closing date and time for fee payment:
- Online payment is allowed till 23:59 hrs of 16.10.2025 for candidates who registered successfully till 23:59 hrs of 14.10.2025; such candidates must submit their applications on or before 23:59 hrs of 16.10.2025.
- 2. Minority communities:
- Minorities include Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians (Parsis), subject to any revision, deletion or inclusion received till 14.10.2025. Minority candidates availing the fee waiver must furnish a Minority Community Declaration affidavit (Annexure-V) on non-judicial stamp paper at Document Verification, failing which they are treated as UR and must pay the fee applicable to UR candidates.
- 3. Economically Backward Class (EBC):
- EBC candidates are those whose annual family income is less than Rs. 50,000. They must hold, on the date of application, a valid income certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-IV), or a BPL card or any other certificate issued by the Central Government under a poverty alleviation programme, or an Izzat MST issued by the Railways. The certificate details must be entered in the online application and the original produced at Document Verification. A document issued after the closing date, 14.10.2025, will not be accepted, and candidates who fail to produce a valid document are treated as UR and must pay the UR fee. EBC entitles a candidate only to a fee concession and not to job reservation; EBC, EWS and OBC are three distinct categories.
- 4. Refund of examination fee:
- Candidates must give correct bank details (bank name, account holder name, account number and IFSC code) in the application form to receive the refundable portion (Rs. 400 or Rs. 250 as applicable, less bank charges). No refund is made where the application is incomplete, not submitted or rejected, or where the beneficiary details are wrong or incomplete. The responsibility for correct bank details lies with the candidate.
- 5. Fee on cancellation of vacancies:
- If the notified vacancies are cancelled, the examination fee is not refunded except to candidates who attended the first stage CBT.
- 6. Applications without fee:
- Applications received without the prescribed fee are not considered and are summarily rejected; no representation against such rejection is entertained.

How to Apply
- 1. Mode:
- Online only, through the link provided on the official RRB websites listed at Para D 16.0 of the CEN. Only one application is to be submitted, to the selected RRB, for all its notified posts under this CEN; a candidate may apply to only one RRB and the selection of RRB once exercised is final.
- 2. Step 1 - Create an Account:
- Create an account for this CEN using the link on the official RRB websites. Candidates who already created an account for earlier RRB CENs (2024 and 2025) must use the same login credentials. A valid personal mobile number and an active email ID are mandatory for receiving the OTPs required during account creation. No details entered in the 'Create an Account' form, including the mobile number and email ID, can be changed later.
- 3. Step 2 - Identity authentication:
- Candidates are strongly advised to authenticate their identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during the 'Create an Account' stage, or through the 'Verify Aadhaar' facility while filling the application, before final submission. Applicants who verify their identity through alternate photo IDs are subject to significantly stricter and more detailed scrutiny at every stage.
- 4. Step 3 - Check eligibility:
- Go through the Post Parameter Table (Annexure-A) and the Vacancy Table (Annexure-B) and ascertain eligibility before exercising options for the RRB and the zone within the chosen RRB.
- 5. Step 4 - Fill the application:
- Fill the online application form with correct information and re-check it before submission; no correction is possible after submission except through the paid modification window. Choose the medium of examination and give the order of zone preferences under the chosen RRB.

- 2. CBT - Analytical and Mathematical Capability: Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Multi-source data analysis, that is examination, analysis and drawing of inferences from text, tabular data and data represented graphically (charts, graphs, scatter plots, pie charts, statistical curve distributions, Venn diagrams); data sufficiency; data arrangement.
- 3. CBT - Logical Capability: Logical Reasoning:
- Binary logic; syllogism; clocks and calendars; assumptions; blood relations; family tree; solving logic-based puzzles.
- 4. CBT - Logical Capability: Reading Comprehension:
- Comprehension passages from any subject including history, society, literature, science, environment, abstract topics, mythology, technology and culture; candidates must answer on the main idea, supporting idea, application, logical structure and style of the given paragraph.
- 5. CBT - Mental Reasoning:
- Analogy (identifying the relationship between two items and applying it to another pair); series completion (identifying the pattern in a sequence of numbers and predicting the next term); coding-decoding questions; ranking and arrangement based problems.

Selection Process
- 1. Stage 1:
- 1st stage Computer Based Test, conducted on 11-02-2026 and 12-02-2026.
- 2. Stage 2:
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), conducted on 06-06-2026. To qualify, a candidate must secure a minimum T-Score of 42 in each test battery.
- 3. Merit:
- The result for Section Controller has been drawn on the basis of marks made up of 70 per cent of the CBT and 30 per cent of the CBAT, considering the qualifying status in the CBAT.
- 4. Document Verification:
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification, held at the place indicated in the e-call letter, followed by medical examination at a nominated Railway Hospital on the next working day.
Admit Card Details
- 1. Source:
- E-call letters for the CBT, CBAT and Document Verification are to be downloaded only from the websites of the concerned Railway Recruitment Board. No call letter is sent by post.
- 2. Timing:
- The e-call letter (and the scribe's call letter where applicable) for the CBT and CBAT can be downloaded about 4 days before the date of the examination. Intimation of the examination city is given about 10 days in advance.
- 3. Intimation:
- Information on the CBT and CBAT schedules and the download links are published on the RRB websites; eligible candidates are also informed by SMS and to their registered email. Shortlisted candidates for DV are informed through the RRB websites and by SMS and email.
- 4. Free travel authority:
- For eligible SC and ST candidates who opt for free train travel, the e-call letter itself contains the free travel authority, a sleeper class railway pass. Reservation can be booked by submitting a self-attested photocopy of the e-call letter and the SC/ST certificate at the booking counter; the original community certificate and an original prescribed identity proof must be carried during the journey.
- 5. Self-declaration:
- Candidates must leave the blank spaces on the downloaded e-call letter for the self-declaration paragraph, signature and left thumb impression unfilled, and must write the self-declaration paragraph, sign and affix the LTI at the examination venue in the presence of the invigilator only, handing it to the invigilator before the end of the examination. Candidates who write the self-declaration in advance or sign in capital letters will be rejected.
- 6. No change of centre, date or shift:
- The CBT centre, date and shift indicated in the e-call letter are final and no request for change is entertained.
- 7. Effect of the call letter:
- Mere issue of an e-call letter does not imply that the candidature has been finally accepted; the photograph, signature and other credentials are verified before the candidate is allowed to take the examination.
Reservation Details
- 1. Vertical reservation:
- The CEN provides vertical reservation for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) and Economically Weaker Sections, wherever applicable and admissible and as communicated by the indenting Railways and Production Units, as shown in the Vacancy Table. Of the 368 vacancies, UR 174, SC 56, ST 34, OBC-NCL 80 and EWS 24.
- 2. Horizontal reservation:
- The CEN provides horizontal reservation for Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities irrespective of their social community: 36 vacancies for ExSM and 15 for PwBD (Locomotor Disability). These are included in the total vacancies shown in the Vacancy Table. Where PwBD vacancies are shown separately as backlog vacancies without any community indication, those are backlog vacancies from the past and are not included in the regular community vacancies.
- 3. Applying against UR vacancies:
- All candidates, irrespective of community, may be considered against UR vacancies subject to fulfilling the parameters for UR candidates. Against vacancies earmarked for a specific community, only candidates of that community are considered. Candidates from SC, ST, OBC-NCL and EWS who fulfil the minimum educational qualification may apply against UR vacancies but must compete with UR candidates and get no age relaxation; they must still indicate their actual community in the application.
- 4. OBC creamy layer:
- OBC candidates in the creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation. OBCs present in a state list but not in the central list at http://www.ncbc.nic.in are not eligible to claim reservation.
- 5. EWS criteria:
- Candidates not covered by the reservation scheme for SC, ST or OBC-NCL and whose family gross annual income is below Rs. 8 lakh, from all sources for the financial year 2024-2025, are identified as EWS. Candidates whose family owns or possesses 5 acres of agricultural land or more, a residential flat of 1000 sq ft or more, a residential plot of 100 sq yards or more in a notified municipality, or a residential plot of 200 sq yards or more elsewhere, are excluded irrespective of income. Property held in different locations is clubbed. 'Family' means the candidate, his or her parents and siblings below 18 years, and his or her spouse and children below 18 years.
- 6. EWS certificate authorities:
- The Income and Asset Certificate must be issued by a District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Collector, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, First Class Stipendiary Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Taluka Magistrate, Executive Magistrate or Extra Assistant Commissioner; or a Chief Presidency Magistrate, Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate or Presidency Magistrate; or a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar and the Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate or family normally resides.
- 7. Ex-Servicemen:
- Ex-Servicemen are eligible for the vacancies specifically reserved for them; where none are reserved against a post they may still apply for regular vacancies and remain eligible for age relaxation and fee exemption. Serving defence personnel expected to be released within one year of the closing date may also apply. Ex-Servicemen who have already secured civil employment in Central Government Group C or D after availing Ex-Servicemen benefits get only the age relaxation and are not considered against ExSM-reserved vacancies.
- 8. PwBD:
- PwBD candidates may apply against regular vacancies even where none are exclusively reserved for them, provided the post is suitable for their disability, and remain eligible for age relaxation and fee exemption. Reserved PwBD vacancies that cannot be filled for want of suitable candidates are not filled and are treated as shortfall for this notification. Backlog PwBD vacancies, if candidates of the earmarked disability are not available, may be filled by PwBD candidates of other disabilities for which the post is suitable, and thereafter by non-PwBD candidates in order of merit.
- 9. Bihar-specific caste rulings:
- Candidates of the Lohar/Lohara/Lohra caste belonging to or migrated from Bihar must submit a latest caste certificate issued after 01.04.2023, valid on the closing date, following the Supreme Court judgment in WP (C) No. 1052/2021 dated 21.02.2022. Candidates of the Pan/Panr/Sawasi/Tanti-Tantwa castes belonging to or migrated from Bihar whose SC/ST certificate was issued before the Supreme Court judgment in Civil Appeal No. 18802 of 2017 dated 15.07.2024 must upload and produce a revised caste certificate issued on or after 01.09.2024, failing which they are treated as Unreserved.
- 10. Change of community status:
- The community or category status declared in the online application determines eligibility for reservation benefits. Community status as on the closing date for online submission is the only status considered, and any subsequent change is not recognised. A fraudulent claim of SC, ST, OBC or EWS status leads to cancellation of candidature or appointment, permanent debarment from all RRB and RRC examinations, and possible legal proceedings.
Document Requirements
- 1. At Document Verification:
- Original documents together with two sets of self-attested photocopies in A4 size, as detailed in the CEN and the e-call letter.
- 2. Upload of documents before DV:
- Shortlisted candidates must upload true-colour scanned copies of all necessary documents - educational qualification, community certificate, photograph and signature - through the portal https://oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv before their Document Verification.
- 3. Format and language:
- Certificates produced and uploaded during the Document Verification should be in the prescribed format and either in English or in Hindi. No additional time will be given to a candidate for not producing original certificates on the date of the Document Verification, and candidates absent during the DV or the medical examination forfeit their candidature.
- 4. For CBAT (as per this notice):
- Candidates must bring their original vision certificate as per Annexure VI when appearing for CBAT.
Important Instructions
- 1. Medical examination:
- After the Document Verification is completed, candidates will be sent for medical examination at the nominated Railway Hospital / Health Unit in the jurisdiction of the concerned RRB. Candidates have to pay a prescribed medical fee of Rs 24 only, and no other charge is payable to the hospital or health unit. In rare cases where an investigation such as a CT scan or ultrasound, or a test to rule out refractive eye surgery, has to be carried out and the facility is not available in the Railway Hospital or Health Unit, the candidate may have to pay the concerned laboratory or hospital.
- 2. Candidature is provisional:
- The candidature of every shortlisted candidate is purely provisional and is liable to be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment or thereafter in case of any inconsistency or deficiency in the data furnished in the online application, or any malpractice coming to the notice of the RRB. Being called for the next stage does not by itself entitle a candidate to an appointment in the Railways.
- 3. Right to rectify errors:
- While every care has been taken in preparing the result, the RRB reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent error or typographical / printing mistake, and regrets its inability to entertain correspondence from unsuccessful candidates.
- 4. Warning against touts:
- Beware of touts who may misguide candidates with false promises of selection on illegal consideration. The recruitment process in the RRB exams is fully computerised and selection is based purely on the merit of candidates.
- 5. Duration of the DV visit:
- Candidates have to come prepared to stay more than 3 to 4 days for the Document Verification and medical examination, which also involves travel from the RRB to the city of the Railway Hospital.

Payment Methods

- 2. Minority communities:
- Minorities include Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians (Parsis), subject to any revision, deletion or inclusion received till 14.10.2025. - 3. Economically Backward Class (EBC):
- EBC candidates are those whose annual family income is less than Rs. 50,000. They must hold, on the date of application, a valid income certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-IV), or a BPL card or any other certificate issued by the Central Government under a poverty alleviation programme, or an Izzat MST issued by the Railways. The certificate details must be entered in the online application and the original produced at Document Verification. A document issued after the closing date, 14.10.2025, will not be accepted, and candidates who fail to produce a valid document are treated as UR and must pay the UR fee. EBC entitles a candidate only to a fee concession and not to job reservation; EBC, EWS and OBC are three distinct categories.
- 4. Refund of examination fee:
- Candidates must give correct bank details (bank name, account holder name, account number and IFSC code) in the application form to receive the refundable portion (Rs. 400 or Rs. 250 as applicable, less bank charges). No refund is made where the application is incomplete, not submitted or rejected, or where the beneficiary details are wrong or incomplete. The responsibility for correct bank details lies with the candidate.
- 5. Fee on cancellation of vacancies:
- If the notified vacancies are cancelled, the examination fee is not refunded except to candidates who attended the first stage CBT.
- 6. Applications without fee:
- Applications received without the prescribed fee are not considered and are summarily rejected; no representation against such rejection is entertained.

- 2. Step 1 - Create an Account:

- 3. Step 2 - Identity authentication:
- Candidates are strongly advised to authenticate their identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during the 'Create an Account' stage, or through the 'Verify Aadhaar' facility while filling the application, before final submission. Applicants who verify their identity through alternate photo IDs are subject to significantly stricter and more detailed scrutiny at every stage.

- CBT questions are available in English, Hindi and 13 regional Indian languages: Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Questions are displayed in the language opted and in English.
- 8. Compensatory time:
- Candidates permitted to use a scribe, and eligible candidates who choose not to use one, may be granted compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination if they so desire.
- 9. CBAT:
- Computer Based Aptitude Test consisting of several test batteries, with no negative marking and a minimum T-Score of 42 required in each battery. Candidates are advised to see the RDSO website (Directorates - Psycho Technical Directorate - Guidelines for CBAT) for question patterns and other details.
Syllabus Details
- 1. CBT - Analytical and Mathematical Capability: Mathematics:
- Number system; ratio and proportions; averages; percentages; profit, loss and discounts; time, speed, distance; power and work; algebra; linear equations; arithmetic progression; LCM and HCF; geometry; area and volumes; probability and statistics (both at basic level only).
- 2. CBT - Analytical and Mathematical Capability: Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Multi-source data analysis, that is examination, analysis and drawing of inferences from text, tabular data and data represented graphically (charts, graphs, scatter plots, pie charts, statistical curve distributions, Venn diagrams); data sufficiency; data arrangement.
- 3. CBT - Logical Capability: Logical Reasoning:
- Binary logic; syllogism; clocks and calendars; assumptions; blood relations; family tree; solving logic-based puzzles.
- 4. CBT - Logical Capability: Reading Comprehension:
- Comprehension passages from any subject including history, society, literature, science, environment, abstract topics, mythology, technology and culture; candidates must answer on the main idea, supporting idea, application, logical structure and style of the given paragraph.
- 5. CBT - Mental Reasoning:
- Analogy (identifying the relationship between two items and applying it to another pair); series completion (identifying the pattern in a sequence of numbers and predicting the next term); coding-decoding questions; ranking and arrangement based problems.
- 6. Note on the syllabus:
- The topics listed in the CEN are illustrative and not necessarily exhaustive.
Selection Process
- 1. Stage 1:
- 1st stage Computer Based Test, conducted on 11-02-2026 and 12-02-2026.
- 2. Stage 2:
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), conducted on 06-06-2026. To qualify, a candidate must secure a minimum T-Score of 42 in each test battery.
- 3. Merit:
- The result for Section Controller has been drawn on the basis of marks made up of 70 per cent of the CBT and 30 per cent of the CBAT, considering the qualifying status in the CBAT.
- 4. Document Verification:
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification, held at the place indicated in the e-call letter, followed by medical examination at a nominated Railway Hospital on the next working day.
Admit Card Details
- 1. Source:
- E-call letters for the CBT, CBAT and Document Verification are to be downloaded only from the websites of the concerned Railway Recruitment Board. No call letter is sent by post.
- 2. Timing:
- The e-call letter (and the scribe's call letter where applicable) for the CBT and CBAT can be downloaded about 4 days before the date of the examination. Intimation of the examination city is given about 10 days in advance.
- 3. Intimation:
- Information on the CBT and CBAT schedules and the download links are published on the RRB websites; eligible candidates are also informed by SMS and to their registered email. Shortlisted candidates for DV are informed through the RRB websites and by SMS and email.
- 4. Free travel authority:
- For eligible SC and ST candidates who opt for free train travel, the e-call letter itself contains the free travel authority, a sleeper class railway pass. Reservation can be booked by submitting a self-attested photocopy of the e-call letter and the SC/ST certificate at the booking counter; the original community certificate and an original prescribed identity proof must be carried during the journey.
- 5. Self-declaration:
- Candidates must leave the blank spaces on the downloaded e-call letter for the self-declaration paragraph, signature and left thumb impression unfilled, and must write the self-declaration paragraph, sign and affix the LTI at the examination venue in the presence of the invigilator only, handing it to the invigilator before the end of the examination. Candidates who write the self-declaration in advance or sign in capital letters will be rejected.
- 6. No change of centre, date or shift:
- The CBT centre, date and shift indicated in the e-call letter are final and no request for change is entertained.
- 7. Effect of the call letter:
- Mere issue of an e-call letter does not imply that the candidature has been finally accepted; the photograph, signature and other credentials are verified before the candidate is allowed to take the examination.
Reservation Details
- 1. Vertical reservation:
- The CEN provides vertical reservation for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) and Economically Weaker Sections, wherever applicable and admissible and as communicated by the indenting Railways and Production Units, as shown in the Vacancy Table. Of the 368 vacancies, UR 174, SC 56, ST 34, OBC-NCL 80 and EWS 24.
- 2. Horizontal reservation:
- The CEN provides horizontal reservation for Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities irrespective of their social community: 36 vacancies for ExSM and 15 for PwBD (Locomotor Disability). These are included in the total vacancies shown in the Vacancy Table. Where PwBD vacancies are shown separately as backlog vacancies without any community indication, those are backlog vacancies from the past and are not included in the regular community vacancies.
- 3. Applying against UR vacancies:
- All candidates, irrespective of community, may be considered against UR vacancies subject to fulfilling the parameters for UR candidates. Against vacancies earmarked for a specific community, only candidates of that community are considered. Candidates from SC, ST, OBC-NCL and EWS who fulfil the minimum educational qualification may apply against UR vacancies but must compete with UR candidates and get no age relaxation; they must still indicate their actual community in the application.
- 4. OBC creamy layer:
- OBC candidates in the creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation. OBCs present in a state list but not in the central list at http://www.ncbc.nic.in are not eligible to claim reservation.
- 5. EWS criteria:
- Candidates not covered by the reservation scheme for SC, ST or OBC-NCL and whose family gross annual income is below Rs. 8 lakh, from all sources for the financial year 2024-2025, are identified as EWS. Candidates whose family owns or possesses 5 acres of agricultural land or more, a residential flat of 1000 sq ft or more, a residential plot of 100 sq yards or more in a notified municipality, or a residential plot of 200 sq yards or more elsewhere, are excluded irrespective of income. Property held in different locations is clubbed. 'Family' means the candidate, his or her parents and siblings below 18 years, and his or her spouse and children below 18 years.
- 6. EWS certificate authorities:
- The Income and Asset Certificate must be issued by a District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Collector, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, First Class Stipendiary Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Taluka Magistrate, Executive Magistrate or Extra Assistant Commissioner; or a Chief Presidency Magistrate, Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate or Presidency Magistrate; or a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar and the Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate or family normally resides.
- 7. Ex-Servicemen:
- Ex-Servicemen are eligible for the vacancies specifically reserved for them; where none are reserved against a post they may still apply for regular vacancies and remain eligible for age relaxation and fee exemption. Serving defence personnel expected to be released within one year of the closing date may also apply. Ex-Servicemen who have already secured civil employment in Central Government Group C or D after availing Ex-Servicemen benefits get only the age relaxation and are not considered against ExSM-reserved vacancies.
- 8. PwBD:
- PwBD candidates may apply against regular vacancies even where none are exclusively reserved for them, provided the post is suitable for their disability, and remain eligible for age relaxation and fee exemption. Reserved PwBD vacancies that cannot be filled for want of suitable candidates are not filled and are treated as shortfall for this notification. Backlog PwBD vacancies, if candidates of the earmarked disability are not available, may be filled by PwBD candidates of other disabilities for which the post is suitable, and thereafter by non-PwBD candidates in order of merit.
- 9. Bihar-specific caste rulings:
- Candidates of the Lohar/Lohara/Lohra caste belonging to or migrated from Bihar must submit a latest caste certificate issued after 01.04.2023, valid on the closing date, following the Supreme Court judgment in WP (C) No. 1052/2021 dated 21.02.2022. Candidates of the Pan/Panr/Sawasi/Tanti-Tantwa castes belonging to or migrated from Bihar whose SC/ST certificate was issued before the Supreme Court judgment in Civil Appeal No. 18802 of 2017 dated 15.07.2024 must upload and produce a revised caste certificate issued on or after 01.09.2024, failing which they are treated as Unreserved.
- 10. Change of community status:
- The community or category status declared in the online application determines eligibility for reservation benefits. Community status as on the closing date for online submission is the only status considered, and any subsequent change is not recognised. A fraudulent claim of SC, ST, OBC or EWS status leads to cancellation of candidature or appointment, permanent debarment from all RRB and RRC examinations, and possible legal proceedings.
Document Requirements
- 1. At Document Verification:
- Original documents together with two sets of self-attested photocopies in A4 size, as detailed in the CEN and the e-call letter.
- 2. Upload of documents before DV:
- Shortlisted candidates must upload true-colour scanned copies of all necessary documents - educational qualification, community certificate, photograph and signature - through the portal https://oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv before their Document Verification.
- 3. Format and language:
- Certificates produced and uploaded during the Document Verification should be in the prescribed format and either in English or in Hindi. No additional time will be given to a candidate for not producing original certificates on the date of the Document Verification, and candidates absent during the DV or the medical examination forfeit their candidature.
- 4. For CBAT (as per this notice):
- Candidates must bring their original vision certificate as per Annexure VI when appearing for CBAT.
Important Instructions
- 1. Medical examination:
- After the Document Verification is completed, candidates will be sent for medical examination at the nominated Railway Hospital / Health Unit in the jurisdiction of the concerned RRB. Candidates have to pay a prescribed medical fee of Rs 24 only, and no other charge is payable to the hospital or health unit. In rare cases where an investigation such as a CT scan or ultrasound, or a test to rule out refractive eye surgery, has to be carried out and the facility is not available in the Railway Hospital or Health Unit, the candidate may have to pay the concerned laboratory or hospital.
- 2. Candidature is provisional:
- The candidature of every shortlisted candidate is purely provisional and is liable to be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment or thereafter in case of any inconsistency or deficiency in the data furnished in the online application, or any malpractice coming to the notice of the RRB. Being called for the next stage does not by itself entitle a candidate to an appointment in the Railways.
- 3. Right to rectify errors:
- While every care has been taken in preparing the result, the RRB reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent error or typographical / printing mistake, and regrets its inability to entertain correspondence from unsuccessful candidates.
- 4. Warning against touts:
- Beware of touts who may misguide candidates with false promises of selection on illegal consideration. The recruitment process in the RRB exams is fully computerised and selection is based purely on the merit of candidates.
- 5. Duration of the DV visit:
- Candidates have to come prepared to stay more than 3 to 4 days for the Document Verification and medical examination, which also involves travel from the RRB to the city of the Railway Hospital.
- 6. Order of the list:
- The roll numbers are in ascending order and not in order of merit.
- 7. Where updates will appear (this short ad):
- Any corrigendum/clarification/important information related to this recruitment will be issued on the websites of the RRBs listed in this advertisement.
Training Details
- 1. Training:
- Selected candidates have to undergo the prescribed training, and only a stipend is paid during the training period, as applicable.
Bond or Service Agreement
- 1. Bond:
- Selected candidates have to execute a surety and/or indemnity bond wherever necessary at the time of joining the Railways.
- 2. Territorial Army liability:
- Selected candidates who are finally appointed are liable for active service in the Railway Engineers' Unit of the Territorial Army.
Disqualification Criteria
- 1. Multiple applications:
- Multiple applications to different RRBs or to the same RRB for the same pay level post; all such applications are rejected summarily and the candidate is debarred from all future RRB and RRC examinations.
- 2. Live photo non-compliance:
- Non-compliance with the instructions for capturing the live photo image leads to rejection of candidature at any stage.
- 3. Signature non-compliance:
- Non-compliance with the instructions for uploading the signature leads to rejection of candidature at any stage.
- 4. Debarred candidates:
- The candidate's name figuring in the debarred list of any RRB or RRC.
- 5. Other irregularities:
- Any other irregularity found during the application scrutiny stage, before or after the issue of e-call letters for the CBT, or during Document Verification.
- 6. False information:
- Providing false or incorrect information, suppressing relevant information, or failing to satisfy the eligibility criteria leads to immediate cancellation of candidature or appointment, removal from service if already appointed, and lifetime debarment from all RRB and RRC examinations.
- 7. Absence at Document Verification:
- Candidates absent at Document Verification forfeit their candidature, and no additional time is given to candidates who do not produce their original certificates on their DV date.
- 8. Unfair practices:
- Forgery, impersonation, cheating, misconduct, use or attempted use of banned items, misrepresentation or suppression of facts, wrong information or submission of a false document leads to lifetime debarment from all RRB and RRC examinations, debarment from appointment in the Railways, dismissal from service if already appointed, and legal action. Use of unwarranted or unfair influence leads to disqualification and debarment.
- 9. Rejected applications:
- Details of rejected applications with the reasons can be viewed by logging in on the concerned RRB's website; the reason is final and binding and no further correspondence is entertained. No refund of examination fee is made on account of rejection. SMS and email alerts are also sent; candidates are not intimated by post.
