- 1. Mode:
- Online only, through internet banking, debit or credit cards, or UPI. There is no option to pay by any other mode
- 2. Service charges:
- All applicable service charges are borne by the candidate
- 3. Applications without fee:
- Applications received without the prescribed fee are not considered and are summarily rejected, and no representation against such rejection is entertained
- 4. Caution:
- Candidates are cautioned to check the genuineness of the mode of payment and to avoid unauthorised websites
Other Information
- 1. Refund:
- Only candidates who attend the CBT get a refund. Candidates must furnish correct bank details - bank name, account holder name, account number and IFSC code - in the application form; the responsibility for correct details lies with the candidate and no correspondence on this ground is entertained
- 2. No refund:
- There is no refund of examination fee for wrong or incomplete beneficiary details, or for erroneous, incomplete or rejected applications. If the notified vacancies are cancelled, the fee is not refunded except to candidates who attended the CBT
- 3. Minorities:
- Minorities are Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians (Parsis), subject to any revision, deletion or inclusion received up to 28.07.2025. Minority candidates claiming waiver must furnish an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper in the format at Annexure IV at Document Verification, failing which the candidature is rejected
- 4. Economically Backward Class (EBC):
- Candidates whose annual family income is less than Rs. 50,000, evidenced by a valid income certificate in the format at Annexure III A on the letterhead of the issuing authority, or a BPL card or other certificate issued by the Central Government under a recognised poverty alleviation programme, or an Izzat MST issued by the Railways. The document must be issued on or before 28.07.2025 and produced in original at Document Verification, failing which the candidature is rejected
- 5. Authorities competent to issue an EBC income certificate:
- District Magistrate or any other Revenue Officer up to the level of Tahsildar; a sitting Member of the Lok Sabha for persons of his or her own constituency; a sitting Member of the Rajya Sabha for persons of the district in which the Member normally resides; a Union Minister for any person anywhere in the country
- 6. EBC is neither OBC nor EWS:
- Economically Backward Class (EBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backward Class (OBC) are three distinct categories. An EBC candidate is entitled only to fee concession and not to job reservation

How to Apply
- 1. Mode:
- Online only, through the link provided on the official RRB websites listed in para 16.0 of the CEN. Applications complete in all respects had to be submitted by 23:59 hours on 28.07.2025
- 2. Step 1 - Create an Account:
- Candidates must first create an account for this CEN using the link on the official RRB websites. Candidates who already created an account for an earlier RRB CEN must use the same login credentials. A valid personal mobile number and an active email ID are mandatory for the OTPs. No detail entered in the 'Create an Account' form, including the mobile number and email ID, can be changed at any later stage
- 3. Step 2 - Identity authentication:
- Candidates are strongly advised to authenticate their identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during account creation, or through the 'Verify Aadhaar' facility before final submission. Candidates who verify through alternate photo IDs are subject to significantly stricter and more detailed scrutiny at every stage
- 4. Step 3 - Choose one RRB per pay level:
- A candidate must choose only one RRB for each pay level and submit only one common online application for that pay level. Applying to more than one RRB for the same pay level results in rejection of all applications for that pay level and debarment
- 5. Step 4 - Exercise preferences:
- Candidates must give an order of preference for any or all of the notified posts under the chosen pay level and for the Zonal Railways and Production Units under the chosen RRB. Partial options are considered only for the Zonal Railways, PUs and posts opted for; where no option is given, unwillingness is presumed. Options once exercised are final
- 6. Step 5 - Live photograph:
- No pre-existing photograph is uploaded. The application module captures a live photograph through a webcam or the front camera of a mobile phone. The candidate should wear non-white, preferably dark clothing; keep the camera at eye level; look straight ahead with a neutral expression; keep the whole face visible and centred in the frame, neither too close nor too far; and must not wear a cap, mask or spectacles. The photo may be previewed and retaken until the application is submitted. Photographing a printed or digital pre-existing photograph leads to summary rejection
- 7. Step 6 - Upload the mandatory scanned documents:
- The candidate's signature in JPG or JPEG format, and for candidates requesting a free train travel pass, the SC or ST certificate in PDF format
- 8. Step 7 - Pay the examination fee:
- After submission the candidate is directed to the payment options. Acceptance of the online application happens only after confirmation of fee payment, which is confirmed by email and SMS

Selection Process
- 1. Computer Based Test:
- Conducted on 06/03/2026, 09/03/2026 and 10/03/2026 for the Technician-III posts notified against CEN No. 02/2025.
- 2. Shortlisting:
- Candidates have been provisionally shortlisted for Document Verification and medical examination on the basis of their performance in the CBT. The roll numbers are published in ascending order, horizontally, and not in order of merit.
- 3. Document Verification:
- Held at the place indicated in the e-call letter for DV.
- 4. Medical examination:
- Conducted at a nominated Railway Hospital in the jurisdiction of the RRB on the next day of the DV.
Admit Card Details
- 1. Source:
- E-call letters for the CBT and DV are downloaded only from the websites of the concerned RRB; no call letter is sent to candidates by post
- 2. Timing:
- The e-call letter for the CBT, and for the scribe where applicable, can be downloaded about four days before the date of the CBT; the city of examination is intimated about ten days in advance
- 3. Intimation:
- Eligible candidates are informed through the RRB websites and by SMS and email to the registered mobile number and email ID
- 4. Free travel authority:
- For eligible SC and ST candidates the e-call letter itself carries the free sleeper class railway pass; a self-attested photocopy of the e-call letter and the SC or ST certificate is submitted at the ticket counter, and the original community certificate and prescribed proof of identity must be carried during the journey
- 5. Scribe:
- A separate e-call letter is issued to the scribe accompanying a candidate; the scribe must carry the original valid identity proof used at registration on the day of the examination
- 6. No guarantee of candidature:
- The mere issuance of an e-call letter does not imply that the candidature has been accepted for the subsequent stages; photograph, signature and other credentials are verified before the candidate is allowed to take the examination
- 7. No change of schedule:
- The CBT centre, date and shift indicated in the e-call letter are final; no request for change of date, time, centre or shift is entertained under any circumstances, and candidates may have to travel to other cities or states
Reservation Details
- 1. Vertical reservation:
- Provided for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class - Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), wherever applicable and admissible, as communicated by the indenting Railways under extant rules
- 2. Horizontal reservation:
- Provided for Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities irrespective of their social community; these vacancies are included within the total vacancies shown in the vacancy table
- 3. Consideration against unreserved vacancies:
- All candidates irrespective of community are considered against unreserved vacancies subject to fulfilling UR eligibility; vacancies reserved for SC, ST, OBC-NCL and EWS are filled only by candidates of that community, and only communities recognised as such by the Government of India are eligible
- 4. Ex-Servicemen where no vacancy is reserved:
- Ex-Servicemen may still apply for regular vacancies of a post, and remain eligible for age relaxation and fee exemption
- 5. PwBD where no vacancy is reserved:
- PwBD candidates may apply against regular vacancies of a post provided the post is suitable for their disability, and remain eligible for age relaxation and fee exemption
- 6. Unfilled PwBD vacancies:
- Where PwBD-reserved vacancies cannot be filled for want of suitable candidates of that disability or for any other reason, they are not filled and are treated as shortfall for this notification
- 7. PwBD backlog vacancies:
- Backlog PwBD vacancies shown separately without a community indication are backlog vacancies from the past and are not included in the regular community vacancies. If candidates of the earmarked disability are unavailable, they may be filled by PwBD candidates of other disabilities for which the post is suitable, and thereafter by non-PwBD candidates in order of merit
- 8. Relaxation of qualifying marks for PwBD:
- Where a full panel for PwBD cannot be made at the minimum qualifying percentage for a community, a relaxation of up to 2 per cent in the minimum qualifying marks prescribed for that community is allowed
- 9. Creamy layer:
- OBC candidates falling in the creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation. Failure to produce the OBC-NCL certificate and the Annexure IIA self-declaration at Document Verification means the claim is not accepted and the candidate may be considered as Unreserved
- 10. Certificates:
- EWS, SC, ST and OBC-NCL candidates must furnish the necessary certificates in original at Document Verification, in the formats at Annexure I (SC and ST), Annexure II (OBC-NCL) and Annexure III (EWS)
- 11. Fraudulent claims:
- Candidature or appointment is cancelled forthwith if a fraudulent claim of SC, ST, OBC or EWS status or misuse of any other benefit comes to light at any stage, and such action may also invite legal proceedings
Document Requirements
- 1. At Document Verification:
- Original documents together with two sets of self-attested photocopies in A4 size, as detailed in the CEN and the e-call letter.
- 2. Upload before DV:
- Scanned copies in true colour of all necessary documents - educational qualification, community certificate, photograph and signature - must be uploaded through https://oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv before the Document Verification. The link will be active as per the DV schedule notice issued separately.
- 3. Format and language:
- Certificates uploaded and produced during the DV should be in the prescribed format and either in English or in Hindi. No additional time will be given for not producing original certificates on the date of the DV, and candidates absent during the DV or the medical examination will forfeit their candidature.
Important Instructions
- 1. Medical examination:
- After the Document Verification is completed, candidates will be sent for medical examination at the nominated Railway Hospital / Health Unit in the jurisdiction of the concerned RRB. Candidates have to pay a prescribed medical fee of Rs 24 only, and no other charge is payable to the hospital or health unit. In rare cases where an investigation such as a CT scan or ultrasound, or a test to rule out refractive eye surgery, has to be carried out and the facility is not available in the Railway Hospital or Health Unit, the candidate may have to pay the concerned laboratory or hospital.
- 2. Candidature is provisional:
- The candidature of every shortlisted candidate is purely provisional and is liable to be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment or thereafter in case of any inconsistency or deficiency in the data furnished in the online application, or any malpractice coming to the notice of the RRB. Merely calling a candidate for Document Verification does not entitle him or her in any way to an appointment in the Railways.
- 3. Right to rectify errors:
- While every care has been taken in preparing the list, the RRB reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent error or typographical / printing mistake, and regrets its inability to entertain correspondence from unsuccessful candidates.
- 4. Warning against touts:
- Beware of touts who may misguide candidates with false promises of selection on illegal consideration. The recruitment process in the RRB exams is fully computerised and selection is based purely on the merit of candidates.
- 5. Duration of the DV visit:
- Candidates have to come prepared for more than 3 to 4 days for the DV and medical examination, which also involves travel from the RRB to the city of the Railway Hospital.
- 6. Updates:
- Candidates are advised to visit the RRB's official website regularly for updates and information.
Training Details
- 1. Training and stipend:
- Selected candidates for the post of Technician have to undergo training wherever prescribed, and only a stipend is paid during the training period. The CEN does not state the duration of the training or the amount of the stipend

- Selected candidates shall execute a security and/or indemnity bond wherever necessary
Disqualification Criteria
- 1. Multiple applications:
- Multiple applications to different RRBs or to the same RRB for the same pay level - all such applications are rejected summarily and the candidate is debarred from all future RRB and RRC examinations. The same applies to multiple applications with minor changes of information or facts
- 2. Photograph and signature:
- Non-compliance with the live photo capture instructions of para 14.4, or with the signature upload instructions of para 14.5, leads to rejection of candidature at any stage of the recruitment process
- 3. Debarred candidates:
- A candidate whose name figures in the debarred list of any RRB or RRC
- 4. False information:
- Providing false or incorrect information, suppressing material facts, or failing to satisfy the eligibility criteria - candidature or appointment is cancelled immediately, and if already appointed the candidate is removed from service summarily and debarred from all future RRB and RRC examinations for life
- 5. Unfair means:
- Forgery, impersonation, cheating, misconduct, use or attempted use of banned items, misrepresentation or suppression of facts, or submission of a false document - lifetime debarment from all examinations of all RRBs and RRCs and from appointment in the Railways, dismissal from service if already appointed, and appropriate legal action, with attention drawn to the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, effective from 21.06.2024
- 6. Unwarranted influence:
- Any use of unwarranted or unfair influence to further undue interests in the recruitment process leads to disqualification and debarment of the candidate concerned
- 7. Misuse of the free travel facility:
- Any misuse of the free railway travel facility leads to rejection of candidature at any stage of the selection process, including debarment from future examinations
- 8. Scribe irregularities:
- Use of a scribe or of compensatory time by an ineligible candidate, a scribe assisting more than one candidate in the same examination, a candidate acting as a scribe for another candidate in the same CEN, an impersonating scribe or false information about a scribe, or a scribe independently answering questions - the candidature is cancelled and, if already appointed, the candidate can be removed from service without notice
- 9. Employer withholding permission:
- If a communication is received from the candidate's employer withholding permission to apply for or appear in the examination, the application or candidature is liable to be rejected or cancelled
- 10. Rejected applications:
- Details of rejected applications with the reasons can be viewed by logging in on the concerned RRB website; the reasons are final and binding, no further correspondence is entertained, and no examination fee is refunded on account of rejection. SMS and email alerts are also sent; candidates are not intimated by post

Payment Methods
- 1. Mode:
- Online only, through internet banking, debit or credit cards, or UPI. There is no option to pay by any other mode
- 2. Service charges:
- All applicable service charges are borne by the candidate
- 3. Applications without fee:
- Applications received without the prescribed fee are not considered and are summarily rejected, and no representation against such rejection is entertained
- 4. Caution:
- Candidates are cautioned to check the genuineness of the mode of payment and to avoid unauthorised websites
Other Information
- 1. Refund:
- Only candidates who attend the CBT get a refund. Candidates must furnish correct bank details - bank name, account holder name, account number and IFSC code - in the application form; the responsibility for correct details lies with the candidate and no correspondence on this ground is entertained
- 2. No refund:
- There is no refund of examination fee for wrong or incomplete beneficiary details, or for erroneous, incomplete or rejected applications. If the notified vacancies are cancelled, the fee is not refunded except to candidates who attended the CBT
- 3. Minorities:
- Minorities are Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians (Parsis), subject to any revision, deletion or inclusion received up to 28.07.2025. Minority candidates claiming waiver must furnish an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper in the format at Annexure IV at Document Verification, failing which the candidature is rejected
- 4. Economically Backward Class (EBC):
- Candidates whose annual family income is less than Rs. 50,000, evidenced by a valid income certificate in the format at Annexure III A on the letterhead of the issuing authority, or a BPL card or other certificate issued by the Central Government under a recognised poverty alleviation programme, or an Izzat MST issued by the Railways. The document must be issued on or before 28.07.2025 and produced in original at Document Verification, failing which the candidature is rejected
- 5. Authorities competent to issue an EBC income certificate:
- District Magistrate or any other Revenue Officer up to the level of Tahsildar; a sitting Member of the Lok Sabha for persons of his or her own constituency; a sitting Member of the Rajya Sabha for persons of the district in which the Member normally resides; a Union Minister for any person anywhere in the country
- 6. EBC is neither OBC nor EWS:
- Economically Backward Class (EBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backward Class (OBC) are three distinct categories. An EBC candidate is entitled only to fee concession and not to job reservation

How to Apply
- 1. Mode:
- Online only, through the link provided on the official RRB websites listed in para 16.0 of the CEN. Applications complete in all respects had to be submitted by 23:59 hours on 28.07.2025
- 2. Step 1 - Create an Account:
- Candidates must first create an account for this CEN using the link on the official RRB websites. Candidates who already created an account for an earlier RRB CEN must use the same login credentials. A valid personal mobile number and an active email ID are mandatory for the OTPs. No detail entered in the 'Create an Account' form, including the mobile number and email ID, can be changed at any later stage
- 3. Step 2 - Identity authentication:
- Candidates are strongly advised to authenticate their identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during account creation, or through the 'Verify Aadhaar' facility before final submission. Candidates who verify through alternate photo IDs are subject to significantly stricter and more detailed scrutiny at every stage
- 4. Step 3 - Choose one RRB per pay level:
- A candidate must choose only one RRB for each pay level and submit only one common online application for that pay level. Applying to more than one RRB for the same pay level results in rejection of all applications for that pay level and debarment
- 5. Step 4 - Exercise preferences:
- Candidates must give an order of preference for any or all of the notified posts under the chosen pay level and for the Zonal Railways and Production Units under the chosen RRB. Partial options are considered only for the Zonal Railways, PUs and posts opted for; where no option is given, unwillingness is presumed. Options once exercised are final
- 6. Step 5 - Live photograph:
- No pre-existing photograph is uploaded. The application module captures a live photograph through a webcam or the front camera of a mobile phone. The candidate should wear non-white, preferably dark clothing; keep the camera at eye level; look straight ahead with a neutral expression; keep the whole face visible and centred in the frame, neither too close nor too far; and must not wear a cap, mask or spectacles. The photo may be previewed and retaken until the application is submitted. Photographing a printed or digital pre-existing photograph leads to summary rejection
- 7. Step 6 - Upload the mandatory scanned documents:
- The candidate's signature in JPG or JPEG format, and for candidates requesting a free train travel pass, the SC or ST certificate in PDF format

Selection Process
- 1. Computer Based Test:
- Conducted on 06/03/2026, 09/03/2026 and 10/03/2026 for the Technician-III posts notified against CEN No. 02/2025.
- 2. Shortlisting:
- Candidates have been provisionally shortlisted for Document Verification and medical examination on the basis of their performance in the CBT. The roll numbers are published in ascending order, horizontally, and not in order of merit.
- 3. Document Verification:
- Held at the place indicated in the e-call letter for DV.
- 4. Medical examination:
- Conducted at a nominated Railway Hospital in the jurisdiction of the RRB on the next day of the DV.
Admit Card Details
- 1. Source:
- E-call letters for the CBT and DV are downloaded only from the websites of the concerned RRB; no call letter is sent to candidates by post
- 2. Timing:
- The e-call letter for the CBT, and for the scribe where applicable, can be downloaded about four days before the date of the CBT; the city of examination is intimated about ten days in advance
- 3. Intimation:
- Eligible candidates are informed through the RRB websites and by SMS and email to the registered mobile number and email ID
- 4. Free travel authority:
- For eligible SC and ST candidates the e-call letter itself carries the free sleeper class railway pass; a self-attested photocopy of the e-call letter and the SC or ST certificate is submitted at the ticket counter, and the original community certificate and prescribed proof of identity must be carried during the journey
- 5. Scribe:
- A separate e-call letter is issued to the scribe accompanying a candidate; the scribe must carry the original valid identity proof used at registration on the day of the examination
- 6. No guarantee of candidature:
- The mere issuance of an e-call letter does not imply that the candidature has been accepted for the subsequent stages; photograph, signature and other credentials are verified before the candidate is allowed to take the examination
- 7. No change of schedule:
- The CBT centre, date and shift indicated in the e-call letter are final; no request for change of date, time, centre or shift is entertained under any circumstances, and candidates may have to travel to other cities or states
Reservation Details
- 1. Vertical reservation:
- Provided for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class - Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), wherever applicable and admissible, as communicated by the indenting Railways under extant rules
- 2. Horizontal reservation:
- Provided for Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities irrespective of their social community; these vacancies are included within the total vacancies shown in the vacancy table
- 3. Consideration against unreserved vacancies:
- All candidates irrespective of community are considered against unreserved vacancies subject to fulfilling UR eligibility; vacancies reserved for SC, ST, OBC-NCL and EWS are filled only by candidates of that community, and only communities recognised as such by the Government of India are eligible
- 4. Ex-Servicemen where no vacancy is reserved:
- Ex-Servicemen may still apply for regular vacancies of a post, and remain eligible for age relaxation and fee exemption
- 5. PwBD where no vacancy is reserved:
- PwBD candidates may apply against regular vacancies of a post provided the post is suitable for their disability, and remain eligible for age relaxation and fee exemption
- 6. Unfilled PwBD vacancies:
- Where PwBD-reserved vacancies cannot be filled for want of suitable candidates of that disability or for any other reason, they are not filled and are treated as shortfall for this notification
- 7. PwBD backlog vacancies:
- Backlog PwBD vacancies shown separately without a community indication are backlog vacancies from the past and are not included in the regular community vacancies. If candidates of the earmarked disability are unavailable, they may be filled by PwBD candidates of other disabilities for which the post is suitable, and thereafter by non-PwBD candidates in order of merit
- 8. Relaxation of qualifying marks for PwBD:
- Where a full panel for PwBD cannot be made at the minimum qualifying percentage for a community, a relaxation of up to 2 per cent in the minimum qualifying marks prescribed for that community is allowed
- 9. Creamy layer:
- OBC candidates falling in the creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation. Failure to produce the OBC-NCL certificate and the Annexure IIA self-declaration at Document Verification means the claim is not accepted and the candidate may be considered as Unreserved
- 10. Certificates:
- EWS, SC, ST and OBC-NCL candidates must furnish the necessary certificates in original at Document Verification, in the formats at Annexure I (SC and ST), Annexure II (OBC-NCL) and Annexure III (EWS)
- 11. Fraudulent claims:
- Candidature or appointment is cancelled forthwith if a fraudulent claim of SC, ST, OBC or EWS status or misuse of any other benefit comes to light at any stage, and such action may also invite legal proceedings
Document Requirements
- 1. At Document Verification:
- Original documents together with two sets of self-attested photocopies in A4 size, as detailed in the CEN and the e-call letter.
- 2. Upload before DV:
- Scanned copies in true colour of all necessary documents - educational qualification, community certificate, photograph and signature - must be uploaded through https://oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv before the Document Verification. The link will be active as per the DV schedule notice issued separately.
- 3. Format and language:
- Certificates uploaded and produced during the DV should be in the prescribed format and either in English or in Hindi. No additional time will be given for not producing original certificates on the date of the DV, and candidates absent during the DV or the medical examination will forfeit their candidature.
Important Instructions
- 1. Medical examination:
- After the Document Verification is completed, candidates will be sent for medical examination at the nominated Railway Hospital / Health Unit in the jurisdiction of the concerned RRB. Candidates have to pay a prescribed medical fee of Rs 24 only, and no other charge is payable to the hospital or health unit. In rare cases where an investigation such as a CT scan or ultrasound, or a test to rule out refractive eye surgery, has to be carried out and the facility is not available in the Railway Hospital or Health Unit, the candidate may have to pay the concerned laboratory or hospital.
- 2. Candidature is provisional:
- The candidature of every shortlisted candidate is purely provisional and is liable to be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment or thereafter in case of any inconsistency or deficiency in the data furnished in the online application, or any malpractice coming to the notice of the RRB. Merely calling a candidate for Document Verification does not entitle him or her in any way to an appointment in the Railways.
- 3. Right to rectify errors:
- While every care has been taken in preparing the list, the RRB reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent error or typographical / printing mistake, and regrets its inability to entertain correspondence from unsuccessful candidates.
- 4. Warning against touts:
- Beware of touts who may misguide candidates with false promises of selection on illegal consideration. The recruitment process in the RRB exams is fully computerised and selection is based purely on the merit of candidates.
- 5. Duration of the DV visit:
- Candidates have to come prepared for more than 3 to 4 days for the DV and medical examination, which also involves travel from the RRB to the city of the Railway Hospital.
- 6. Updates:
- Candidates are advised to visit the RRB's official website regularly for updates and information.
Training Details
- 1. Training and stipend:
- Selected candidates for the post of Technician have to undergo training wherever prescribed, and only a stipend is paid during the training period. The CEN does not state the duration of the training or the amount of the stipend

- Selected candidates shall execute a security and/or indemnity bond wherever necessary
Disqualification Criteria
- 1. Multiple applications:
- Multiple applications to different RRBs or to the same RRB for the same pay level - all such applications are rejected summarily and the candidate is debarred from all future RRB and RRC examinations. The same applies to multiple applications with minor changes of information or facts
- 2. Photograph and signature:
- Non-compliance with the live photo capture instructions of para 14.4, or with the signature upload instructions of para 14.5, leads to rejection of candidature at any stage of the recruitment process
- 3. Debarred candidates:
- A candidate whose name figures in the debarred list of any RRB or RRC
- 4. False information:
- Providing false or incorrect information, suppressing material facts, or failing to satisfy the eligibility criteria - candidature or appointment is cancelled immediately, and if already appointed the candidate is removed from service summarily and debarred from all future RRB and RRC examinations for life
- 5. Unfair means:
- Forgery, impersonation, cheating, misconduct, use or attempted use of banned items, misrepresentation or suppression of facts, or submission of a false document - lifetime debarment from all examinations of all RRBs and RRCs and from appointment in the Railways, dismissal from service if already appointed, and appropriate legal action, with attention drawn to the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, effective from 21.06.2024
- 6. Unwarranted influence:
- Any use of unwarranted or unfair influence to further undue interests in the recruitment process leads to disqualification and debarment of the candidate concerned
- 7. Misuse of the free travel facility:
- Any misuse of the free railway travel facility leads to rejection of candidature at any stage of the selection process, including debarment from future examinations
- 8. Scribe irregularities:
- Use of a scribe or of compensatory time by an ineligible candidate, a scribe assisting more than one candidate in the same examination, a candidate acting as a scribe for another candidate in the same CEN, an impersonating scribe or false information about a scribe, or a scribe independently answering questions - the candidature is cancelled and, if already appointed, the candidate can be removed from service without notice
- 9. Employer withholding permission:
- If a communication is received from the candidate's employer withholding permission to apply for or appear in the examination, the application or candidature is liable to be rejected or cancelled
- 10. Rejected applications:
- Details of rejected applications with the reasons can be viewed by logging in on the concerned RRB website; the reasons are final and binding, no further correspondence is entertained, and no examination fee is refunded on account of rejection. SMS and email alerts are also sent; candidates are not intimated by post
